Where did you use the core, at this Flower?
Aluminium and copper are bad Cores, like at bigger Coils, they slow down Magnetism more,
and since the Waves, what you are catching are very weak, you may wanna try it
with a very thin core like a thin Nail or a pice or Iron wire.
I am guessing, the Core need to be saturated, that it reflects the Power,
else it do absorb it. Iron has actually some Latency also to switch back to normal State,
when it gets magnetized, therefor would be Ferrit even better.

It seems that you are using 30 AWG wire.

TanTric coil calculations:

1.5 cm diameter = 0.6 inch diam coil

30 AWG wire = 103 ohms per 1000 feet and 0.01 inch diameter

therefore:

6 oms = 1000*6/103 = 58 feet = 696 inches

for 0.6 inch diameter, the circumference = 1.9 inches

thus there are 696/1.9 = 366 turns

length = 366*0.01 = 3.66 inches (9 cm = 3.5 inches)

inductance = 3.7 mH

i will try with the iron nail, and also iron wire, inside the coil as you suggest and will report soon!

i have tryed all kinds of cores today, aluminium, iron, copper to see if it will improve it in someway, but nothing...

the iron cuts the effect and with the otherones i loose performance,

just wanted to report!

i have tryed the cores that i mentioned in my post inside the coil! but my iron core was very big/thick and cancelling the effect, i will try a small nail or iron wire to see what happens!!

and its operated wirelessly. Wireless Wireless device? 60 cm away from a tiny spark. Exactly how big is a spark anyway if it can reach out that far?

the wireless field wont leave the box I gave it though. I think I might need to have an external power source because the battery's mass eats up all the wireless field when its hugging the coil.

The coils for these devices are the main component, and the larger, wider, and more in tune they are, the better your preformance. Any metallic mass will absorb the field, so jamming these things in boxes might present a difficulty. Maybe the best way to keep a large field is to have a paper box with a few wires on the inside that are excited, and the battery far away from any excited mass. The coils always ought to be air core, unless you have a load attached to a mass you stick in the middle.

I think to improve performance, a variable capacitor should be put on either end of the coil, as gbluer shows. I am just completely out of those things right now so I cant show it.

Ya, it does increase the field, but the more load I apply to the topload (as in metallic mass) the more sensitive the oscillations become. If nothing is connected to the coil, I can almost put my finger in the core of the coil before it shuts off. When I attach a large metal mass such as a metal tin, I have to keep an inch or more away from the coil, cct, and tin before it gets dim and quits. If I attach it to a building it does not go into oscillations without having the resistor connected, which I know draws 10X more power and is forcing the oscillations.

I blame this on the tiny recovery winding. The field was greatest the more I removed from the pancake, but as the field expanded, the oscillations became weaker. I blame this on the fact I use a small coil, thus the resonant amount of pancake coil will be small as well, and not pick up enough power to tickle the transistor.

Truely, the larger, the better. The best slayer coils are the large ones, and then the only trick is to tune the pancake (L2). The larger the pancake, the stronger the oscillations.

However, the smaller you go, the cuter it becomes. There is a "sweet spot" between performance and cuteness. I belive TanTric is closer to this sweet spot then I am ;-)
