i will try sucahyo circuit with my flyback also... i think my frequency generator circuit its not very efficient!

i gave a dinner last night to some of my friends, and some of them will not touch the bars or water cup with bulb inside it even before seeing me doing that, they were mouth open all the time, some even never imagined that such thing as wireless energy existed! i told them that all the "emptyness" was pure vibrant energy!! eheh, just played arround with them!

That is what I have been trying to do with a joule thief as pulse generator.
It is quieter than a spark gap and takes a lot less to do a lot.
I was able to get the same effect as you are

My max voltage output is 1800v

I am very impressed with this because I cannot get the unbroken filament bulb to light.
Now, I see maybe I should be using a broken bulb anyway.

I think you should try sucayho's circuit.
I believe it does not rely so much on having a good toroid as the joule thief.

Is that right sucayho?

Capacitors in parallel: increases total capacitance, but limits max voltage rating to that of the smallest capacitor.
Capacitors in series: increases max voltage rating, but decreases capacitance.

When two or more capacitors are connected in series, the total capacitance is less than that of the smallest capacitor in the group. The equivalent capacitance is similar to resistors in parallel:

1/C(tot) = 1/C(1) + 1/C(2) + ... 1/C(n)

I am going to try driving this with suchayo's stingo circuit, but the one I have here seems to have a short and won't run. I'm going to tear it apart and rebuild it today.

The specs to the left of the slashes are part of the left group wired up in series? And the specs to the right are part of the right group wired up in series?

Let's just remove the ones with unknown capacitance for simplicity.

Then 1/C(left) = 1/5100 + 1/6800 + 1/3000 + 1/4700 + 1/3600

C(left) approx equals 856.888 pF.

Voltage on the left is simply the sum, so 7800V

And 1/C(right) = 1/1800 + 1/5600 + 1/4700 + 1/1500 + 1/4700

C(right) approx equals 547.548 pF.

Voltage on the right is the sum, so 7650V

I rebuilt my stingo and blew another pair of power transistors. I don't have the exact spec transistors here while I am traveling, so I have tried substituting smaller ones, but I just blow them. I will be back to my working stingo with the correct transistors in a month or so. Looking forward to trying this out.

It is better if you replace both. I often damage a good transistor by replacing only one of them. Good luck .
