  • Some way

    Hi Matt @ All,
I built a small version, not much really, but I couldn't keep the pie from flying off
I did manage to get about 2 min runs , several times.
The force out , is more than put in.
There's gotta be some way to utilize this??
More stuff to think about now.

    • Oh there is alot ways to use it and it has all the energy you need to do just about anything at a gain.

When I get the chance I am going to put a small one together that has the ability to put out. Right now with the Holidays and Tight budgets I can't do anything physical but I am modeling it and plan to run the simulation. Soon after the first of the year I might be able to have some time to build it.

This is the first build I did. This one wasn't built to the specs I have now which improve the performance.

Hi Matt, I have 2 questions , In the video you said you were using one battery to drive and one was charging. Could you show me the circuit arrangement?
Also I assume since that video was made you advanced to using your scooter motor, but you have a magnet wheel that is in repulsion mode to your electro-magnet? That you turn on and off. What type of switch were you using?
Well maybe 3 questions Does the electro-magnet charge the 2nd battery?
Not much time right now , but am very interested.
            Thanks for your time.....artv

            • Its not that great of motor. In fact there are better ways on this board right now. It was something I was playing with at that point in time.

As far as the circuit goes search "Simple Boost Circuit". Once you learn how to use one of those you can always build a motor that recovers.

Hi Matt, I read about " simple boost circuits"...need to read again.
Liquid acts very similar to the drive of the G.A.T.E.
Also to pulsing a coil. Whether it be , a generator , or a motor.
                Join them altogether with the 3BGS , and Bendini 101 , ....???
I was pouring fuel into my oil tank and the pulsating action of the fuel ( in the jug) , could be added to the pulsation of the drive motor, running a bouncer, causing the fuel to be poured automatically, due to reaction?

I wound several generators this week-end ,then loaded them trying to see where to introduce , the extra momentum of the off-set weight.

Lots more to do yet, so many things are inter-connected, use them all at once , We'll have our answer>

                • You see the effect everywhere. The whole idea came from trying to make motorized 2 stage oscillator. When I was building the rotor, or pendulum, it was in that flick I posted, I had it on a table made of 3/4 BB ply (11 layer ply). I would run it and the plywood would bend about 1/2 inch. Thats when it dawned me what could be done.

Anyway if you haven't read through Veljko Milkovic stuff you should.

Thanks Matt, That guy has a lot of good info.
I think your design can be used to drive a very large flywheel.
A question ,Did you ever try variable speed to drive the bouncer?
That is increase during upswing and idle during momentum stroke?
Not sure if that's clear, sounds better in my head , than when I read it on paper.

                    • No I haven't tried to many variations. The next one though I have few new things including a motor that is highly adjustable and very, very low power with a good bit of torque. I ran it today and in all humility it shocked me and I thought of it.

Also the entire setup is different and more stable than the previous version.
I got alot of the parts ordered today and the basic parts are very simple to build. It will be small but I think I will push some weight with it.

We'll see what its capable of soon.

Your last reply was several months ago. Have you made any progress on this?

                        Thanks,

                        • LOL.
Yeah Matt, tell them about your new design. I wanted to tell them all about it, but since it is your design, I have resisted temptation. Wouldn't dream of spilling beans without owner's permission. I just sit here and smile, and think about pouring a 4' by 4' pad at my new place with anchor bolts built in!

With summer and the bugs and weeds in my gardens and all the different stuff I planted this year and all the people buying food now, I haven't touched a thing recently.

I am really looking for an excuse to go out to the garage and work on it though.

I know soon I'll have some time and it will be the first thing I get done.

When I first read the Skinner thread their were no replies yet, I was going to say Matts bouncer would be the perfect drive.
I just found Eric Lathiwaite (sp) and Russel....and what Ken is saying .
                              They are all the same.
Skinners' device seems to only pull power for a percent of rev , The bouncer does the same thing. I'm going to tie the two together, along with a few other things.
Very interesting stuff, the more ideas' the better.

                              • Hi, has anyone tried to replace the bouncer spring with a crankshaft and then the crankshaft could drive a PMA? It would function similar to a internal combustion engine.
