India needs humungous amounts of oil and natural gas to satisfy its fast growing economy. And the country is running all over the world in order to diversify its sources of energy (see this blog post on India's Energy Security to know more about India's efforts in this direction). In the process, the country is forced to get into bed with rather dubious regimes like those in Nigeria, Sudan etc.
In addition to the fact India has to tread cautiously when it comes to countries like Iran, now we will have to tailor our national policies even more in order to suit our energy requirements. I can't any anything good about this situation. What about you?
