    how is it going?

    hi ib,

love your work and would like to know what happened to this project?
a friend of mine is of energy and a small recharging light could really be of help.
but it should stay easy to carry around.
will probably replicate the original if i have the material around.

    cheers,

    prato

I'm probably far too late with this advice, but there are a couple of ways to get that 1.5V running that was wanted from a wall adapter.

First way, put a FWBR on the 3V line. Your voltage will go down by 0.7V approx to 2.3V. Now, put a 1N4007 on the positive rail and you are down to 1.6V. Trialing different FWBR's and diode arrangements will bring you to 1.5V
I say FWBR, because, with a 2200uF electrolytic capacitor included you will smooth out the normally nastily A/C spiked output too.

You could simply put 2 diodes on the positive rail from the 3V wall adapter output.

Another way, a car DC/DC converter. I have one here that has replaced my usual wall adapter. It starts at 1.5V and goes up to 9V at 800mA. You snip off the cigarette lighter plug end and run it with a 12V 1A wall adapter.
