      ac units

      Any more info Ash?

Coolerado has AC units 90% less power than normal. BUT... I have never
been able to speak to a human being in over a year of trying to contact
them or a contractor that does installations. It is a legitimate company but
the customer service is not just poor - it is non existent it seems!
      Sincerely,
      Aaron Murakami

        Aaron,
I have to agree. after dozens of calls,
all I wound up with, is "Scripted" (Sales) answers...

Sad, nice product, no pre-sales support.

There is nothing new with this device. It is simple absorption technology that has been around since the 1920's or so. instead of using a fuel (propane, natural gas, oil) they are using Mitsubishi 'inverter' compressor technology. In the Heat pump mode the compressor is used to heat the ammonia/water mixture. Old technology with a new marketing ploy.

Then again 'everybody' who is making ductless splits is using inverter technology developed by Mitsubishi, years ago, and calling it there own.

Indecently, technology that has been developed for the commercial field over 50 years ago has been 'pimped' to the residential field, for the last 10 or so years, as cutting edge technology.

I have been doing HVAC for 20 years. 80% of the so called 'new technology' has been around for decades. Furthermore 99% of the marketing is designed to 'Fool You'.

            Kinda like S.E.E.R

            Respectfully,

              similar to Otto Mohr?

              That's interesting Core.

It is even remotely close to what Otto Mohr was doing?
There are other links about him in this forum somewhere:

                Mitsubishi Mr. Slim

Mitsubishi's AC line with this technology seems to be the "Mr. Slim" line.

                Here is one distributor:
Goodman Air: Mitsubishi Mr Slim: Goodman Heat Pump: Buy Wholesale Direct

The video doesn't explain the actual technology, just a benefits/features
                pitch.

I like it so far. At least these are available and the Coolerado one seem to
not be and the price seems reasonable.
                Sincerely,
                Aaron Murakami

                  Where do you live?

The Coolerado cooler has NO latent heat removal just sensible. So in a nutshell, works in Arizona but not in Florida.

Not sure what your looking for but in my professional opinion Multi-Aqua are by far the most flexible.

                  Ductless air-cooled water chiller systems | Commercial-Residential | Multiaqua

Of course this depends on who you talk too most residential contractors unfortunately are just not educated enough. They simple install one brand only and screw that up.

Incredible things can be done with a chilled water system. These systems can provide heating and cooling plus domestic hot water. Also water flow can be modulated via variable speed zone pump or three way valve. The system can be controlled with a well programmed P.I.D. loop (Proportional–Integral–Derivative) kinda like cruise control on a car. By the way Mitsubishi Inverter technology is driven by a PID loop that reads data from air temperature sensors. The compressor speed, in RPM, is governed by live sensor data. Throttling the RPM of the compressor reduces flow rate in the evaporator. A reduced flow rate equates to a reduced BTU output.

If you are looking to do a couple rooms or a small apt. then Mitsubishi inverter driven heat pumps are the way to go.

For a large home a chilled water system has many benefits.

It's not remotely close it is exactly what they are doing. They are using a compressor and a remote heating source (solar heating) to drive the ammonia solution. These systems have been in trailer homes FOR YEARS. In trailer homes they use propane as the heating source.

I'm not trying to come across as a wise a$$. There is nothing new in the HVAC field except compressor inverter technology from Mitsubishi. The so called 'cutting edge technology' has been around for decades. Common folk have no idea so it's easy to fool them with good flashy marketing.

I can go on and on for days about stuff like this but why bore you.

I have a friend here witch have a heat concentrator, it creates heat on one side and cold on the other side, it don't consume any energy source or fuel, only ambient heat. It can also be done to generate electricity too.

It uses nano carbon tubes for small size higher power applications. It was done in the 60's for the first time.

Its expensive but last forever. Working 24 hours a day. It works even under freezing temperatures. Cause heat is only the rate of vibrations of molecules or atoms, thus even at 0°C where water should freeze we actually still have 273° of thermal energy.
