everyidea I have watched your video. I think that maybe it would be easy for you to modify your set up to replicate this guy's set up. That could be the fastest way to check this out.

I tried a cam a long time ago, I just couldn't get it to work. There's just not enough strength to break the attraction gate in my set up. Maybe I need a longer run time on the front of the V in order to build momentum. I haven't tried the pusher on the bottom though. My magnet V set up is currently with my cousin-in-law, he's a material science major and he wanted to take a whack at it.

One way I can see this working for me is using steel as the V and a strong neo cylinder bar magnet. My current set up is a steel V made out of screws that taper in height and head size, at the start of the V they are large and tall and as the V gets wider the screw head size gets smaller and screwed into the wheel more. This hopefully will taper and reduce the gate at the end. I just need to balance it now. In this configuration I do not believe you will need a cam. I tried this with my small 2" x .25" neo's and it wasn't enough power to get it to move. Not sure if this is the right path, but it's a path.

Keep in mind that someone could have a hoax and then give a
ridiculous explanation how they faked it so people could think it
was real because the hoax explanation doesn't cut it. That way,
they get some satisfaction knowing that some people will think
they have something worth suppressing because it gives the
appearance that they are nervous and are giving some excuse
so people think it is fake (because they must have been
threatened) or whatever.

You know I just cant figure out why some of these people waste their time building such nice looking, elaborate hoaxes. If they spent that time actually trying for something instead of propagating a hoax we may be farther along as a whole. And the community may get fewer skeptical looks. Too bad they have to waste the precious time they have building.... nothing.

I have almost no experience with building this kind of magnet motor, so my technical opinion is not worth much here. I do know someone who has built a beautiful magnet motor that maybe unveiled after 10th Dec 2010, we'll have to wait and see..
