As you can see, I don't post much because I don't feel I have a lot to contribute. With an accounting background, I don't understand much of what is discussed in these threads but that does not stop me from reading and trying to understand the discussion topics.
Let me start by saying I love my country as much if not more than any other American but I despise how Washington and the federal government have tried to control us and the products we have available in the name of "National Security" (yeah, right). Is it really National Security or "Control"?
Since it is clear that they will not allow any US patents that infringe on the monopolies of the big corporations, what choice do we have? How about you apply for a foreign patent in a country that is more receptive to the open nature that we desire? I do not suggest this lightly since this goes against the grain of everything I have grown up believing in but I see it as the only way to break the stranglehold of the American military-industrial complex. The US Government will then be required to scramble to match the technology that some of the ideas expressed on this forum have proven to be viable or fall far behind in the race to remain relevant in today's world environment. In other words, do our congresscritters wish to let American Citizens know that they have allowed us to become a third world nation by allowing us to fall behind in the Technology Race or will they fore-go a few dollars from their corporate masters? If they really want to increase the anger level in the American public then they will let us fall behind in the Technology Race. Let China start sell solar cells that are 50-75% efficient in the US under a patent issued to a US Citizen and see how the American public react. Or let Taiwan sell an off the shelf hydroxy rig that doubles gas mileage on another patent issued to a US Citizen and see how We The People react. For well over 100 years, we have led the world in the development of new technology and now, we can't come up with any new (reported) ideas that affect the world. Does anyone else have a problem with this or question the reporting of the MSM?
In closing, I wish to thank all of the members of this forum that continue to contribute to the exciting ideas evidenced in this forum. I will continue to read and learn and hopefully, someday I can make a contribution of my own. Don't hold your breath but know that I will if I can.
