Hard to believe that smth like this can be done. If it is possible to produce diesel at price of 17 cents why not put this device into mass production?

The Beyond Biodiesel forum is back from the dead. So, hopefully all of the links are back to working, but everything from February to now is gone. Sorry folks, but some people just need to hack what they do not understand.

    Hi all,

Just got done reading all 87 pages and now I can post. I have a question.

I have a lot of septic solids and can they be used as fuel? Also a dairy farm near by and there is a lot of Cow ****, could that also be used as fuel? I do not recall any one talking about this in past post. Also there is a local butcher house that has a lot of animal part and hides that are for the taking. Could that be used also as fuel?

going to start working on a small unit made out of LPG tanks that I have which are out dated. I will be a 7gal tank and want to use the Rocket mass stove fire box to heat it and use the heat from it to heat my green house in the winter time when i make fuel.

Hope I get some feed back and this is a great site!

If you think about it logically it all makes sense. Turkey bones aren't made from crude oil so why go through all that effort to try to turn it into a little bit of biofuel.

The best feedstocks are all produced using crude oil.

Jose's link to the Discover article about Changing World Technologies is an interesting one. The absurdly grandiose title of the company should have given us a hint.

2003. The company was on a campaign to attract investors, promises of massive profits, inflated estimates, ignored costs, ridiculous hype etc.
2005 The cracks were starting to show. The Carthage plant could not produce even half the fuel it promised and the quality was so low it had to be sold cheap as bunker oil.
2009. The company went bankrupt and the plant closed.
2011 . The plant reopened briefly under new management but was closed because of objections to the foul smell and polluted local waterways.

Lesson... If something seems too good to be true, then it almost certainly is.

If someone has a better suggestion please, let me know.

    1. You open the lid secondary lid.
    2. Put new feedstock
    3. Seal the lid back
    4. Open the valve and let the new feedstock go in the main retort.
    5. Close back the valve

And the process can be repeated as much as necessary.
If your adding more feedstock, while your running the unit.
You need to purge the air from the new feed stock.
You could melt it prior to opening the bottom valve
