Special thanks to you for all your hard work on these inverters, as the implications for some are actually pretty large. Namely, a group of my friends living off grid. I did a quick, yet interesting experiment, shown here, that iterates the validity and necessity of your work.

    Thanks Again

Has anyone seen my Bedini Ceiling Fan that pushes the warm air down, and charges batteries as an added bonus? Me neither. 'Bout time I made one!!!!! :P

    • Hi folks, Hi kcarring, yes i was pointing that out before, these homemade inverter jobbers can be more efficient for sure.
Also want to address your standard signature comment, "Tar sands ? or... Sandy Tires? Ride your bike to work. Complete dependency comes from poor consumer choices."
The blame game never solved any issues, we are just as responsible as many in the dominating positions of so called power that are actively and knowingly maintaining these oppressive agendas.
At least people are starting to wake up.

      • Tuning the Joule Ringer

        Hello All,

Please outline the steps that must be used to tune the Joule Ringer.

What was the purpose of the magnet on top of the Joule Ringer?

Where can I get Meth glass?

What is a suitable alternative to the methglass?

How was the second coil or toroid arranged? Like this: COIL ---- Capacitor----- coil in series ?

What was the specs on the caps on the toroid?

        Was it non polarised?

        Any successful replications since?

        Thanks all !

          @Xee2:
This is my replication of your original circuit you posted. I am thrilled with the way this turned out, especially since I am very new at this stuff. Your video’s are tremendously valuable and presented in a way that anyone can replicate. My replication does use a few different values on the components but still works very nice. I have a “AA Battery” holder in the box and binding posts on the box that I can easily connect to higher voltage power feeds. My camera does not do the light justice as it auto-adjusts to the light.

Next up on my list is the flip – flop circuit that lidmotor did and the “555” inverter that kcarring has shown. I am really excited about attempting both of those circuits.

          @kcarring:
You mentioned in one of your recent videos about the difference in LED bulbs. I totally concur, as I have tried the 2w LOA candle looking bulb and the 1.2w Feit “Bath and Vanity” bulb. The LOA bulb is far inferior to the Feit bulb.

I want you to lock at the modification i did on Tyson diagram does it look like the way you did the second experiment (small Battery charges Large Battery Bank – YouTube).

            Thank you

            • Joule enhancement.

              Quote from emc4u2

"I measured the AMPS across the battery, so it is the total AMP draw. This shows the enhanced version is way more efficient. What it actually shows is that in the non enhanced version, there is a amp draw for the first impuls and secondly over the secondary coil in series, with the LED and n series with the battery, which drains the battery. The enhanced version, just creates a field in the bifilar coil and then only discharges over the LED not over the battery. saving power".

                • Great video. In your next video please show how bright bulb is powered directly from the 24 volts @ 1.9 amps. This may not be possible since the bulb resistance may be too high to allow 1.9 amps of current at 24 volts.

                    Hi Ehsan,
I want you to first start with changing the name to

John Bedini's SS SSG with Cap/Diode Modification

the 2x10J 250v caps go from the top of the trigger coil directly to the 1n4007
(therefore - in parallel with the pots and resistors)
the two pots are in series and in parallel with the resistors and caps.

also, look at the bottom trigger wire - needs to terminate to the primary positive.

the first transistor gets two extra resistors
remove the 1n914 and replace with a 10k resistor
add a 20k resistor base to collector.

all you have to do is add the caps across the pot and the diode to the base.
I grantee your resistance to the trigger base will need to be different.

definitely stick with the 100 ohm resistors I have on all the bases. the 220's will only be needed for higher voltages.

Could you power up the fan alternatively and see what your draw is?

                        Great Woopy !

You tell the buylb heats up a lot, can you measure or estimate the temperature of the bulb?

This might make a very cheap kow power heater.

                            almost,
the 20k you have going from collector to coil should go from collector to base.

the bottom of the trigger coil still needs to be moved to the primary +

Now, these are all little ckt nuances the biggest part of the ckt that most people choose to ignore (this is why they fail) are the batteries.

I did what you said but i have a small question.
Do you use any diodes from Emitter to collector?
I appreciate your help very much

Quick note: In my XEE2 Comparison video, I actually hooked up the wrong transformer (that's like me to do something like that)... so, in doing so I did end up testing the suitability of a 166K18, which is actually a 115VAC - 18VAC CT transformer, at 1.5A rated (not ideal) but still showing decent results.
