SSG charged batteries cannot be used to drive SSG machines

Do they look like this - UPG4D Gel Cell 40701

The small one's have a flat plate that sit's inserted flush with the top, there is just a very small split around the cover plate that holts the vent caps down tight so there is pressure inside the battery to keep the moisture in.

You should be able to see where the cover plate is a separate piece from the battery, the small one's even have a small space for inserting the screwdriver to lever the top off. I destroyed the top of the first one I tried.

Hi Farmhand yes mine looks like those but bigger. There is a cover plate as you've said on mine too. I will try to pull it up and put a little water as you told me.

if you charge batteries with negative energy they loose their power very fast

I charge the 12v batteries enough (up to 16volts).
i am using them after to run the ssg but it seems they dont hold their power. They loose their power very fast. That is the reason that rick fridriech is using trojan 6volt batteries because they last longer time but still!!!
Anyway any ideas were is the problem...

I have never recovered a battery that has been crystallised of any type.

I have cut open dried gel batteries and replaced the gel with acid but with limited success.

I have once been able to reverse the negative energy from a lead acid battery by completely flattening it down to milli volts output before charging it with my SSG.

Discharging the battery this far is not good for a battery so I would not recommend it unless you have nothing to loose

then get one on its knees and then do this ..
