  • Very Interesting Effect

    Hi all!

I found a very interesting effect with AXIAL electolytic capacitors.

This paper was originally published by Gregory Hodowanec, in Radio Electronics Magazine:

Gregory Hodowanec: All About Gravitational Waves (Radio-Electronics Magazine, April 1986 (Rhysmonic Cosmology)

The AXIAL eletrolytic capacitor piezoeletric effect is not found in any document of electronic component manufacturers, except in ceramic capacitors.

I didn't expect electrolytic capacitors to be affected by pressure but heat is one of the things they're affected by. I've seen the pressure and heat affect ceramic capacitors, i even made a video of it here.

      @All

Ok lets assume that capacitors react in voltage to external stimulus. Lets also assume we can eliminate the background interference from RF but enclosing the unit in steel. This would also shield static sources of interference since static is an external component to metal. The charges will stay outside on the surface. Lets also assume something of mine in this thought experiment: "if the world we live on is a radiating body then it would look like a pompom. This pompom rotates inside of our planet and the fingers as I like to call them go trough the matter of the crust of our earth. These fingers are what is responsible for the gravity we see and also for the seismic activity of our planet as well. Another effect of these fingers is our weather patterns since these fingers effect matter in an indirect way."

This is starting to be my theory of gravity and our weather. If we take one sensor built by this article and record the results we have only one bit of resolution. What if we make a grid of them and let a computer record and assimilate the data in real time? More detectors can give us a better picture at what we are looking at. Much like in lcd screens more pixels mean a better picture, why not increase the resolution of the detector and see what these waves look like. Remember though we are seeing a 2d plane of these waves and we might have to go 3d like a cube of detectors in order to see the wave as nature see's it....

      How does that sound?

The capacitance is governed by the area and distance of armatures and dielectric constant of insulator. During the mechanical shock, there may be some physical or chemical change. Consider also that the electrolytic capacitor is a nonlinear device, because its characteristics changes when operating in reverse voltage.

Furthermore, a capacitor is not the ideal device for running like as accelerometer, because isn't allows a abrupt variation of voltage into electrical terminals.

Regarding Hodowanec notes, pay attention to the graphics obtained with his recorder:

We don't know the influence of circuit amplifier associated with the capacitor-sensor. In any case the voltage varies slowly.

We know that sunspots affect heavily to radiocommunications.
It is probable gravitational effects occur together with the emission of large amount of electromagnetic energy. The Radio Amateur Recorder may be sensitive to white noise only.

          Other problems...

Consider Howanec's register assemblend in a metalic box without any external wire. Detector circuit, register and battery for power supply confined in a sealed box.

The eletrolytic capacitor has this equivalent circuit:

Despite the box electrical blindage, cosmic rays may cross all circuit including the sensitive operational amplifier.
