  • Permanently illuminated paint thread where was it?

I have been searching for a thread where an individual was experimenting with paint that could be substituted for active lighting. It used micro encapsulated particles of radioactive isotopes that caused the material that encapsulated them to light up.

I am curious if anyone remembers where this was or if the stuff was actually for sale within the US.

    Cheers
    Ryan

Sorry I don't know about this thread. But I was wondering about your avatar. Is
that your electric car ? They used sell those at a Shell station where I used to
live. Have not seen one of them for a while.

      Dear Ryan,

Here is a link to a page on my website on this topic. The 2007 patent application for the technique of micro-encapsulization of tritium and high output phosphors is linked at the bottom of the page.

        Thank You

Not generally available I see, only standard glow in the dark type paints for consumer use though.
