Look at this image of reactor 1, the second image down.

You can see what looks like the secondary containment vessel from an AGR in the middle of the framework but when you look at the plan of the building, the reactor secondary containment is actually lower down. I have worked on an AGR, I know what they look like.

Now look at a view of the reactor from above, notice no evidence of the reactor vessel. The first image on the first link
The truth is hidden in plane site. The second image is obviously a faked and photo shopped.
Now look at reactor 3 on the left of this picture. You will see a domed vessel, this is the primary containment vessel, notice it is tilted and steam is evident at the back. It is breached and in meltdown.
Japan nuclear crisis: Workers resume effort at Fukushima power plant as radiation levels drop
As you may have heard, the biggest problem is not the reactors, even though they are much bigger than Chernobyl, it’s the used fuel rods that are stored in a containment tank at the same level as the top of the reactor. There is up to 8 reactor cores worth of fuel rods stored in these. This storage vessel can be seen in the second image and it appears empty, I believe it was this that exploded on the first reactor. It is the dark rectangular shape on the right side of the reactor building when viewed from above.
On reactor 3, the storage vessel is gone as is the secondary containment vessel.
I understand that the reactors at Fukushima are 4.6 times bigger than Chernobyl. The news tells us that three reactors are breached and the pictures show us that three reactor buildings have exploded; a fourth has a fire that I assume is in the storage vessel.
Potentially how big is this disaster at this point?
Used cores = 8+8+8+8 = 32
Active cores = 3
Total = 35 x 4.6 = 161 times Chernobyl.
