Built this a little while back from info gathered in the Bedini ferriswheel thread, but never posted a clip.
My fav lil motor:

2 x 8wrap coils on a common 'U' shaped iron core. 6 little neo magnets(n,s,n,s,n,s,n,s) on a VCR spindal and a getto fab reed switch/hall sensor. No real circut, just on/off.
I've run it on as low as 1.5 volts and as high as 18.....9v in this clip.
I say reed/hall because the switch contacts physically like a reed switch, but since it has a tiny magnet on it that repulse one magnet and attracts the next one....it acts like a hall sensor and only turns the switch on when a S magnet passes.
