  • This carburetor is built with a plastic floatation device designed to quench the liquid gas supply. It is made from a soft plastic as is the end of the metal stopper pin, thus propane could deteriorate them and they would have to be removed, and the option of gasoline would go with.

Preferrably a 'snorkel' device would be obtained or constructed to fit between the metal air cleaner case and carburetor air intake like a gasket with a tube leading into the carburetor past the choke valve. The engine regulator component also would be attached in order to provide fuel only when there is demand by the engine. Working pressure is supposedly quite low, thus a needle valve or low pressure regular supplies it from the tank.

Forseeably the plasma ignition method would then reduce the amount of gas pressure required even further.

Because my caddy uses a "coil pack" that mounts over the spark plugs (1 front and 1 rear), it doesn't look like I can achieve the plasma effect since it doesn't seem feasible to access the hi voltage circuit for placement of diode strings. I was exploring chapter 3 of your book as a possible fall back position. In doing some research, I found a plug that has a capacitor built into the plug (www.pulstar.com). Are you familiar with this product and what would be your feed back (if any) on using it? Doesn't achieve plasma, but seems to provide an enhanced spark at the gap?

Also, regarding use of an efie to fool the oxygen sensors. I have read info that says you need an efie for each oxy sensor (my caddy has 4....2 ahead of the catalytic converter and 2 after). Others say you only need to address the two sensors ahead of the catalytic converter....what's your thoughts?

        Hi Jody,

Those are COP's or "coil on plugs" that you have. It's true, it is difficult to get to the high voltage connection. Arvind from Aquapulser did have some COP's made with the diode's built in but I don't know the status of them now or what vehicles they went to.

The Pulstars are not worth it. They have a peaking cap inside but they are also high resistance plugs and the spark is bigger than normal, but not much. Everyone I know that ran tests couldn't tell a difference and a member here that used a graduated fuel tube on a generator found a difference so small it would have taken years to pay back the spark plug.

For the o2 sensor, I'd ask George Wiseman at Eagle Research and ask if he has an EFIE available for your car.
        Sincerely,
        Aaron Murakami

        • Greetings

Long time reader, first time poster. This question is mainly geared towards the plasma effect but I have other questions as well I'm hoping I can get answered all in the same place. Aaron, on your ignition secrets guide you state to use a chain of 25 diodes for the best results, I got your guide when it first came out but have since lost the link to see if its been updated is this still accurate or is there a better method now? If not what is the best way to go about doing it, I have a gmc 1500 v6 and even though there's plenty of room under the hood I would like to keep clutter down to a minimum. Also you state you can only achieve this effect with a cdi, can I make my own for the time being or do I just have to bite the bullet and get one? Can peaking caps be used in conjunction with the plasma ignition or is it not necessary? What I'm trying to do here is increase the overall mpg and with the money I save at the pump but that towards improving my setup later down the road (pun unintended haha). As I stated earlier I have a gmc 1500 I just got it a week ago and it's the first vehicle I've had that I can do what I've longed to do for so long. It's got an efi but its the style that sprays a burst in a carburetor so if I had to I assume I'd be able to rip all that out and put in a regular carburetor. I'm thinking about adding a water mist to the intake with the plasma as well. The ignition is "computerized" as we'll but it wouldn't take much to convert that to a plain ignition if needed either. The motor is basically like the motors from the 70's with the exception of the electronic "improvements". Ultimately it would be ideal to run totally gas less if possible with multiple hho boosters & mist but for the time being I'm shooting for 50 mpg or better. Last thing and I'll shut up, I plan to get some Bosch platinum plugs either the +2 or +4. I've run a set of the single electrode in my olds ciera for over 5 years and have not noticed a loss in mpg or decrease in power, will these hold up pretty well with the plasma ignition? I'm done thanks in advance for any helpful info, Aaron, YOU ROCK!!!! Keep up the good work

          Peace out

          • Aaron's help need for waste spark coil hookup

            Dear Aaron,

For waste spark coils, is the negative firing plug's center diode string connected to primary coil positive or negative?

I understand that for a single coil setup, if it gives "+" HV output, the diode cathodes point to HV output terminal (or spark plug centers) and diode anodes to primary coil "+" terminal. If it has a "-" HV output, the diode string is reversed.

So with my waste coil demo, when I connect the "-" diode strings from plug that gets "-" HV output, and the "+" diode string from plug that gets "+" HV output, both to primary "+", one spark plug discharges plasma and the other fires normal CDI spark.

Am I supposed to connect the "-" diode string to primary "-" terminal.

I don't know who else more trustworthy to ask, than the Boss Himself... you our SOURCE!

            Most Greatfully,

I am 100% sure that Aaron will never post ANY PERSONAL CLAIM on that matter. There is a word that is stopping him from making such a mistake: LAWSUIT. The moment he'll claim anything on the extra-HV diode that made him give his name to this ignition, he could suffer major financial losses in a lawsuit associated with all profits he earned from selling his book. He had to ask legal advice about the disclaimer at the beginning of the book he sells just to have no liability in case something bad happens (including unhappy customers). That's why you don't see in his book a schematic showing how to extend his 1 cylinder, 1 sparkplug prototype to a real 4, 6 or more cylinders engine having a distributor. That's why people ask this all the time.

So don't expect an affidavit in his name with dyno results using his ignition. You will only get escape answers such as "it's too expensive" or "read other patent claims" or "do it yourself". I don't blame him doing that. He doesn't want getting sued, lose his money or worse. Bottom line, we have to test it ourselves.

              • Can ANYBODY help with Waste Spark Coil hookup?

                Hi guys,

What ever way I turn or connect the diode strings on my waste spark demo, I only get one set of the plugs per pair to discharge plasma. The other plug in the pair fires a normal CDI spark.

SO PLEASE - [I][B][U]DOES ANYBODY HAVE A HINT FOR WASTE SPARK PLASMA IGNITION?

                • There is always this fashion "bigger is better" on car technologies. Or in Tesla coils. Thousands of guys build Tesla coils and after they watch hypnotized for days HV discharges then they go to forums and brag "I got 1 foot discharge", "I got 2 feet spark", etc. and that's all. Same happened with HHO, everybody entered the competition "I get more liters/minute". But nobody goes next step. DO WE REALLY NEED BIG VOLUMES, BIG SPARKS, BIG PLASMA? OK, we peed our pants in awe watching long HV sparks or counting liters of Hydrogen, or in this topic watching bigger plasma discharge on spark plugs. Yeah well...AND? Nikola Tesla would roll in his grave if he would see people use his coil for watching sparks. In case of HHO, nobody seems to care you can't get more power from a conventional petrol combustion engine or better fuel efficiency using only Hydrogen instead of gasoline, you only need a small portion of Hydrogen added to less gasoline. As for the plasma discharge in our engines, does anyone know for sure when is enough plasma for a total combustion and when too much plasma destroys things in there quickly? NO, NOBODY DOES. Mine is bigger? For engines no, thanks. Maybe in bed.

                  • Plasma Ignition only Possible with Quicker Discharge

                    This is not rocket science.

But what seems to have me missing something, is the waste coil setup.

Can anybody help me to make my waste spark demo make plasma with a hint on how the diode strings have to be orientated and/or connected?

Many Thanks Aaron for your research efforts. I got the discounted package $125 bucks worth for 30 something, what a steal.

Studying up now on the patent also. Great stuff. People don't know what their missing out of. A running engine off water is a very exciting invention to me.
