    • Hate to just throw ideas out there but if this plasma spark has a negative resistance effect, can that be applied to Paul Babcock's idea that materials for super low resistance wires are needed for generating high strength magnetic fields for very low energy input? I'd pursue this idea furthur myself but I have to eat lunch and take a nap...

Also thx aaron, keen to try this on my volvo when it gets to "stage 0"

I've talked to Paul about this exact concept but have to prove it all out to see if that is in fact what is happening.

Ah glad it's not just me then. Could it be as simple as seeing if there is a stronger magnetic field in the coil with plasma vs. cdi and then measuring the power used (should be the same eh)?

The stronger magnetic punch is what I want to see if I can quantify or not. If the impedance of the coil is being reduced so it has a faster rise time, then the power of the field should be stronger since it is happening in a shorter time.
