    I've been involving in finding methods to determine natural frequency of coils but like to propose a calorimeter using the concept of Blackbody radiation to capture radiation.


    The image attached is a chamber with blackbody material covered inside. The DUT is sitting inside the chamber. Ice is being poured to outer layers next to blackbody material. Insulation is the outermost layer. A vent on top for proper drain operation. Water collector at the bottom to collect and calculate heat/energy amount being generated. Using latent heat of fusion, we can just measure the water amount instead of a temp probe. Blackbody absorbs radiation and convert most of radiation (hopefully) to heat. There are some dynamics to take ambient condition into account by calibrating the drain rate etc... but that's the fine details.

      In a paper written by Zoltan Szili some time ago
      Jean Szili -- Zero Point Energy extraction circuit

      this is not a joule thief but uses ferrite toroid, he describes a mechanism
      of extraction.

      Zoltran and his wife Jean recommend the Jiles-Atherton Model of electromagnetism to be accurate and his simulation I think 'cadence' has this module. A spreadsheet should suffice.
      He mentions other circuits could change the formula but he thinks the current and inductance curves should match.
      It is relevant or at least a glimpse into one persons concept
      that zpe comes from the ferrite at exact timing. narrow window
      of n nanoseconds and claims output 5 times.

      The paper concludes with comentary by JLNaudin who worked with it for a while recommends taking current measurements using R1 and R2.
      concurs that zpe is shown and the element of extraction is the toroidal
      ferrite inductor L1

      Naudin's approach (usually fast and direct) does make mention that the capacitance of the scope probe
      was enough to mess things up so circuit design needs to be at least as good as a fine tuned 25 Mhz signal.
      if you use all the details or secrets to designing a cb radio board it would be necessary to hold this tolorance
      even though the fundimental frequency is much lower.

      not everyone likes the way I introduce concepts but I really just try to reach as many as possible.
      I feel we are all learning together and diversity is helpful.

      While it is not the joule thief by Steven Jones this paper may help someone. As was mentioned use what you can get your hands on.
      for others use what you can get your mind on.

        Multiple LCR circuit - air core

        Mr. Steven Harvey produced the attached prototype.

        The prototype consists of the following:
        1. A basic Joule Thief Circuit using 2N2222 and a white LED as the Pulsing Source.
        2. Two identical secondary circuits with approximately the same number of windings as the basic Joule Thief.
        3. Each Secondary has a LED as load.
        4. All 3 LEDs were on (One at Joule Thief, two at Secondary Circuits)
        5. No tuning has been done yet (Waiting for Oscilloscopes and other equipment).

        Such a prototype done in Hong Kong (July 2010) managed to have the two LEDs at the secondary circuits remain on for about 30 seconds after the Battery was removed. Much tuning was needed.

        The tuning was done by:
        1. Changing the resistance with a variable resistor
        2. Swapping different capacitors
        3. Using different holes on the breadboard
        4. Observing the Input Waveforms and Output Waveforms
        5. At resonance, the Output waveform will be a sine wave or a standing wave
        6. A signal generator with a diode can be used as the pulsing source.

        God has turned the water into wine. Electron Motion Energy can be brought-in via the pulsing at the toroid at resonance. Amen.

            Fair Competition???

            The theory and the basic prototype setup are now available.

            The basic theory is:
            Electron Motion Energy can be brought-in at resonance via LCR circuits.
            The Steven Mark TPU is such a setup.

            The basic prototype setup is:
            1. A pulsing source that can be a Joule Thief variant or a signal generator with Diode to ensure DC pulsing.
            2. Two or more identical LCR circuits as Secondary in a Toroid.

            The preliminary experiments show that different toroids can be used. Steven Mark achieved good results as shown by his videos on Youtube. Many teams in China and now in USA may have achieved good results. They are not willing to share their hard earned results freely on the Internet yet.

              preliminary measurements

              While I wait for the oscilloscopes and other equipment, I did the preliminary testing/comparison of the air core and the ferrite core toroids.

              The results are:

              Air Toroid:
              1. Input Voltage = 1.16V with a fluctuating component around 1V peak-to-peak
              2. Output Voltage (First Secondary) = 10V peak-to-peak
              3. Output Voltage (Second Secondary) = 8V peak-to-peak
              4. Freuency = 700KHz

              Ferrite Core:
              1. Input Voltage = 1.18V with a fluctuating component around 1V peak-to-peak
              2. Output Voltage (First Secondary) = 5V peak-to-peak
              3. Output Voltage (Second Secondary) = 4V peak-to-peak
              4. Frequency = 1KHz

              It appears that the air toroid used can generate a higher voltage (power?) with the LED lights shining much brighter. The logical step is to get a 16 inch diameter air toroid and see if we can get results closer to those of Steven Mark.

              God works miracles. Even the poor inventors who cannot afford oscilloscopes may be able to get results.

                Headed in the right direction

                Someone posted over on the OU.com forum to Dr. Jones the possibility of removing the base Rb resistor and seeing the circuit still oscillated. Brings back memories of two years ago when this was talked about on the SEC Thread. I am waiting to see how that is explained?

                When still trying to measure Pin and Pout it may take sometime before they address the breakdown of the CB junction of the transistor and figure out about negative resistance in semi-conductors.

                Fun watching all the repeating experiments and suggestions, with many wanting to make a mark as to their knowledge and pulling history forward as if it just happened today.

                Isn't it strange that the Alternative Energy search is caught up in one big loop? Tesla, Tesla, and I won't mention those still alive, but really folks when will you wake up and see that 99% of this is going nowhere? It's like a big repeating dream, same old sh__ over and over and over with a totally new group of people getting in line to follow and going no place.

                  Why would the two supposed identical secondary LCR circuits produce very different results?

                  I am focusing on the air toroid. The following are preliminary results (without the oscilloscopes):

                  1. The Output Peak-to-Peak voltages on the two secondary circuits are different in magnitude.
                  2. If the direction of the LED is reversed, the brightness of the LEDs changed noticeably.

                  Knowledge is gained in small steps – especially if it is being discovered.

                    Preliminary results on June 26, 2011

                    While waiting for the oscilloscopes and other test equipment, I used my existing equipment to do the following:

                    1. Change the connection direction of the LEDs.
                    2. Play with the spacing of wires.

                    I managed to get the LED on the Joule Thief to be turned off. One Secondary B LED shone brightly. One Seconary A LED shone less brightly.

                    The Input voltage across the battery is 1.189 V DC with a strong fluctuating component. The Output voltage across Secondary B is 4 V peak-to-peak.

                    The Output voltage was used to power another Joule Thief Circuit (instead of an AA battery). The LED on this other Joule Thief was turned on.

                    The strange thing is that the LED on the primary Joule Thief was never turned on. What does that imply?

                    I believe many researchers tried to replicate the Prof. Steven Jones results without the proper oscilloscopes. They are likely to be disappointed.

                    Without the proper oscilloscopes, it is difficult to tune and get meaningful results. With the proper oscilloscopes, most researchers will be able to do tuning and achieve OU results (some resonance conditions).

                        It really is the same old thing repeated time and again.
                        Tesla did need alot of massive equipment.

                        Science teaches objective disciple but few really wanted
                        to be truth seekers and others did not have access to
                        experiment and learn.

                        The textbook writers reject truth and are subject to compelling force.
                        Some of the academic community bravely try to remedy this controversy and
                        as the controversy escalates it sometimes draws out feeble minds.

                        It seems almost demonic that faculties could be divided and
                        the direction of study could be swayed so easily time and again.

                          Understanding the Wave forms

                          We obtained standing Power Wave forms since July 13, 2010 in Hong Kong with two oscilloscopes.

                          When I moved to visit my daughter in USA in Oct. 2010, I no longer have access to the oscilloscopes. Prof. Steven Jones is kind enough to take on the verification and additional research. He confirmed that the COP can be greater than 1 (8 in his case).

                          The following diagram is the best explanation I can come up with so far.

                          Without the oscilloscopes showing the waveforms, it is not possible to tune for resonance in the "Hong Kong" way.

                          God has provided the Divine Revelations. Amen.

                              Giantkiller sent me the above video. It confirmed that at resonance, the output voltage is a sine wave no matter the input!

                              Tuning with a signal generator is easier. But we still need to deal with forced resonance and natural resonance.

                              Forced resonance can be obtained with the signal generator providing a certain frequency to the secondary LCR circuits.

                              Natural resonance occurs when the two seconday LCR circuits can "self run" when the signal generator is taken away.
