    @Savvypro
    That is a doozy but no real surprise.

    @alice00141
    You do seem to make a good arguement on the surface however the real issues are never addressed and these issues concern real "people" not numbers and figures and facts.

    You see the inherent problem here is that a corporation is not a person it is an "entity" and the people who own this entity, the share holders, have mandated that the sole purpose of this entity is to generate a profit. Not to build the best product, not the safest product, not the most efficient product but a product which generates the maximum amount of profit. Thus we have share holders who demand a profit at any cost and are not responsible for any corporate action, we also have other persons in the corporation who must meet this demand for profit but were never told "how" they must do this and these people are not responsible for any corporate action either.

    The corporation is responsible for it's actions but it is not a person it is an "entity" and this allows supposedly intelligent "people" within the corporation to start doing really stupid self-serving things in the name of profit.
    Now let's start asking the right questions---
    1)Which people who profit from the operations of the Fukushima nuclear facility will be held responsible for this accident which will effect the lives of millions of "innocent" people?--keep in mind that these "innocent people" are real men, women and children.
    The answer is none, the corporation is solely responsible but it is not a person it is an entity, WTF how does that work? Well a few people may lose there job as a token gesture of good faith however the persons who have profited have no responsibility of any sort only the faceless entity known as the corporation does.
    2)Who will clean up the mess this corporation created?
    The answer is that the corporation should clean it up but they can't afford to because they are most likely a subsiduary of a larger parent company which is not responsible for the subsiduary. Here is the scenario-- the smaller corporation can't afford to clean up there own mess so either they go bankrupt, fire all the employees and business at the parent corporation continiues as usual leaving the taxpayer to foot the bill. Or the government steps in to save the corporation in the name of job security rewarding the corporation for creating this mess and again the taxpayer foots the bill.

    This is why nuclear energy will never be safe because nobody will ever be held personally or financially responsible for the result of their actions in the name of profit. As well what in the hell would we do? should we sue the engineers at the facility for hundreds of billions of dollars they obviously do not have and never will?
    This is why all your numbers and figures and facts are meaningless --- because you have completely ignored Human Nature --- "People".

    Maybe you could fly to Fukushima and try to explain your point of view to the people who will have to watch their children and loved ones slowly die from cancer before their very eye's, when these wonderful people fade away losing their hair and teeth their life, do you think that might help? - Do you think that you could ease their pain and suffering because you personally believe nuclear power is perfectly safe and economical?. You see any fool can have opinions about anything when they believe that they will never be effected personally however intelligent and compassionate people understand there are consequences for their actions as well as their opinions.
    Regards
