Most generally I employed receiving circuits
in the form of loops, including condensers, because the discharges of my high-tension transmitter
ionized the air in the hall ( which is encircled by an oscillatory circuit ... most probably ) so that even a very small aerial would draw electricity from the
surrounding atmosphere for hours
The loop form of receiver was not sensitive to such a disturbance
and it is curious to note that it is becoming popular at this late date. In reality it collects much less
energy than the aerials or a long grounded wire,
you can even interchange the parts ( think going Voltron on these Three Inventions : "combining-robot" cartoon )
The Telegraphone (pronounced with the emphasis on the second syllable) was the first device capable of recording sound magnetically, and it did so on a thin steel wire; Poulsen and others called it piano wire, and it was apparently a single strand of commercially available wire made of ordinary steel. His very first machine, intended only to demonstrate the concept, employed a relatively short length of wire, wrapped around a metal cylinder, which was hand-cranked. This avoided the need to design a functional wire-transport system. Within a short time, Poulsen also demonstrated a steel "ribbon" or tape recorder and then a machine to record magnetically on a steel disk. All three types were promoted as alternatives to phonograph-type dictating machines, such as the recently introduced phonograph and graphophone (in the 1880s these were still sold mainly for dictation). Poulsen saw as the chief advantage of the Telegraphone its ability to record directly from the telephone lines, which the phonograph could not do. Such a machine might, for example, provide a sort of remote dictation capability. It was a humble beginning for a technology that would eventually replace its rival, the phonograph, and become amazingly common today.
The Telegraphone generated a lot of excitement and was hailed as a scientific breakthrough (the recording process seemed to contradict contemporary theories of magnets). As a commercial product, the history of the Telegraphone was less than successful. It was manufactured in at least two versions, one by Poulsen's workers in Denmark, and another by the American Telegraphone Company of Wheeling, West Virginia and later Springfield, Massachusetts.
I have read with great interest the report in your issue of to-day that the Danish engineer, Waldemar Poulson, the inventor of the interesting device known as the “telegraphone,” has succeeded in transmitting accurately wireless telephonic messages over a distance of 240 miles.
I have looked up the description of the apparatus he has employed in the experiment and find that it comprises:
(1) My grounded resonant transmitting circuit;
(2) my inductive exciter;
(3) the so-called “Tesla transformer”;
(4) my inductive coils for raising the tension on the condenser;
(5) my entire apparatus for producing undamped or continuous oscillations;
(6) my concatenated tuned transforming circuits;
(7) my grounded resonant receiving transformer;
(8) my secondary receiving transformer.
I note other improvements of mine, but those mentioned will be sufficient to show that Denmark is a land of easy invention.
The claim that transatlantic wireless telephone service will soon be established by these means is a modest one. To my system distance has absolutely no significance. My own wireless plant will transmit speech across the Pacific with the same precision and accuracy as across the table.
Briefly explained, the Tesla theory is that a wireless tower, such as that here illustrated and specially constructed to have a high capacity, acts as a huge electric condenser
The transmitting station is an octagonal tower, pyramidal in shape, and some 180 feet in height. It consists of huge wooden stilts, heavily braced, and reinforced, and surmounted by a cupola of interlaced steel wires, bent so as to form an arc. In the cupola there is a wooden platform occupying its entire width.

Sir: Your issue of the 14th inst. contains a report relative to an experimental demonstration at the Pittsfield plant of the General Electric Company in which a pressure of one million volts was used for transmission of power by alternating currents. This is said to be the result of more than thirty years’ work and to constitute a dramatic advance in electrical development so much, indeed, that it was deemed proper to record the time of its consummation with greater precision than that when Joshua commanded the sun to stand still over Gibeon and the moon in the Valley of Ajalon. But the prosaic fact is that I have long ago perfected and patented the invention instrumental in this achievement and applied it successfully in the production of pressures amounting to many millions of volts. It may not be amiss to state furthermore that a license was offered to the General Electric Company under my basic patent which bears the No. 1,119,732 and was granted December 1, 1914, the original application having been filed January 16, 1902.

Alternating currents transmitted through a wire can be likened to pulses of some liquid, as water, forced through a woven hose So long as the pressure is moderate the fluid entering one end will be integrally discharged at the other, but if the pressure is increased beyond a certain critical value the hose will leak and a large portion of the fluid may thus be wasted. “In the propulsion of aerial vessels problems are involved entirely different from those presented in the navigation of the water,” said Tesla. “The atmosphere may be likened to a vast ocean, but if one imagines a submarine vessel constructed like an aeroplane one immediately realizes how inefficient it would be. The energy used in propelling a body through a medium of any kind is wasted in three different ways; first, by skin friction; second, wave making; third, production of eddies. On general principles, however, the resistance can be divided into two parts: one which is due to the friction of the medium and the other to its stickiness, or viscosity, as it is termed. The first is proportionate to the density; the second to this peculiar property of the fluid.
“Everybody will readily understand that the denser the medium the harder it is to push a body through it, but it might not be clear to every person what this other resistance — this viscosity — means. This will be understood if we compare, for instance, water and oil. The latter is lighter, but much more sticky, so that it is a greater obstacle to propulsion than water. Air is a very viscous substance and that part of resistance which is due to this quality is considerable ( see dielectric ) . We must take this latter resistance into account in calculating how fast an aeroplane could fly in the upper reaches of the air.
We have here a very general fact which is in no way limited to the case of metal filings. This is that fragments of metal in contact with one another and presenting considerable resistance -- 30,00 ohms, for example -- to the passage of electricity, become conductors under the influence of very weak electric waves, and lose this conductivity by a simple shock. These variations indicate a great variability in the aggregation of atoms under the influence of infinitely weak but appropriate forces.

It is easy to illustrate what has just been said by a curious experiment due to M. Branly. A column of metal of 30 or 40 cm in height is formed by placing one upon the other a series of polished discs of bismuth, aluminum, etc., of the dimensions of a 5-franc piece. The column may even be made merely of polished steel balls placed in a test tube. The resistance of this column to the passage of an electric current is still considerable. If we make a small electric spark near it, the resistance becomes almost nil. To cause it to reappear, it suffices to give a tap to the upper part of the column.

It is preferable that the dielectric 16 be in the form of a closed tube or envelope, as shown, and be exhausted to vacuum condition. The multitude of sparking prongs 17a produce a brush discharge.
Where the dielectric 16 is not a closed tube or envelope, it is preferred that it be of quartz.

Leon Sprink was a Russian engineer who operated a cement manufacturing plant in France circa 1950. He received several patents for a simple method to create a type of electric field that accelerates chemical reactions.
In one example given by Sprink, “One month after the setting in operation of the apparatus, the duration of the reaction, which normally is 24 hours, had fallen down to 3 hours and the saving in calories to be supplied for the reaction was 50%… The field also affects the states of matter such as solubility and crystallization, distillation, reduction of metallic ores, etc..."

My protector, by contrast, is founded on principles diametrically opposite. Its terminal has a large surface. It secures a very low density and preserves the insulating qualities of the ambient medium, thereby minimizing leakage, and in thus acting as a quasi-repellent to increase enormously the safety factor.
In the first experiment a drum-armature was provided with two coils at right angles to each other, and the ends of these coils were connected to two pairs of insulated contact rings as usual. A ring was then made of thin insulated plates of sheet iron, and wound with four coils, each two opposite coils being connected together so as to produce free poles on diametrically opposite sides of the ring. The remaining free ends of the coils were then connected to the contact rings of the generator armature so as to form two independent circuits, as indicated in Fig. 9
The subject of my present application is a new and improved electrical condenser constructed with a view of obviating certain defects which I have observed to exist in the ordinary forms of such apparatus when employed in the system devised by me of producing light and other effects by means of currents of high frequency and high potential.
I have found that insulating material such as glass, mica, and, in general, those bodies which possess the highest specific inductive capacity are inferior as insulators in such devices when currents of the kind described are employed to those possessing high insulating power, together with a smaller specific inductive capacity, and I have also found that it is very desirable to exclude all gaseous matter from the apparatus, or any access to the same to the electrified surfaces, in order to prevent heating by molecular bombardment and the loss or injury consequent thereon. I have found that I may accomplish these results and produce highly efficient and reliable condensers by using oil as the dielectric, and in this my invention resides.
What I claim is—
1. An electric condenser composed of plates or armatures immersed in oil.
2. An electrical condenser composed of plates or armatures adjustable with respect to one another and immersed in oil.

To carry out this invention I employ a motor embodying the principle of construction of a motor described and claimed in an application filed by me January 8, 1889, No. 295,745, to the extent that both the armature and field receive their magnetism from a single energizing-coil or a plurality of coils acting as one.
If a delicately and pivoted and well-balanced metal disc or cylinder be placed in a proper plating solution ( electrolyte ) midway between the anode and cathode, one half of the disc becomes electro positive and the other half electro negative. Owing to this fact metal is deposited on one, and taken off from the other half, and the disc is caused to rotate under the action of gravity. As the amount of metal deposited and taken off is proportionate to the current strength, the speed of rotation, if it be small, is proportionate to the current.
It has heretofore been announced and demonstrated by me that, under ordinary conditions, the efficiency of an electrical condenser is greatly increased by the exclusion of air or gaseous matter in general from the dielectric. In a patent granted to me December 8, 1891, No. 464,667, I have shown and described a convenient and practicable means of accomplishing this result by immersing the conducting-plates or armatures of the condenser in an insulating fluid, such as oil.
My present invention, while based upon this important feature of the practically complete exclusion of air or gas from the dielectric, is an improvement on the forms of condenser heretofore described and used by me.
According to my present invention I employ an electrolyte, or, in general, a conducting liquid in lieu of a solid, as the material for the armatures of the condenser, under conditions more fully hereinafter described, whereby air or gas will be practically prevented from exercising upon the condenser or the more active portions of the same the detrimental effects present in such devices as heretofore made. Such condensers are especially advantageous when used with circuits of great rates of electrical vibration because of the high conducting capacity of such fluids for currents of this character. There is, however, a general advantage derived from the fact that the conducting fluids have a high specific heat, so that the temperature remains constant, a condition in many cases highly advantageous and not met with in condensers of ordinary construction.

I have been trying to come up with a simple low temperature method to growing micro size single crystals at low temperature that is simple enough for anyone to perform. the mainstream ZnO single cystals are fused at high temperature and vapor deposited requiring complicated setup and technical expertise.
This is a simplified version for home use.

1 liter boiling flask with rubber stopper.
reflux condenser if available.
water bath.

Dissolve 30 grams of ZnO in each 300 ml of 30% ammonium chloride/ hydroxide. This is best done by filling 300 ml of 30% amonnium hydroxide into the flask and place on stirrer with teflon bar. Turn on the heat to medium, Turn on Stirrer to low speed, #3. Slowly add zinc oxide to solution. When all ZnO is dispensed, cap flask and turn up stirrer to maximum, bring the heat up to 60 deg C and let it mix for 30 minutes.
Place flask in the Freezer and freeze solution to -0 degrees C.
When you reach this temperature, allow an additional 1 hr.
Before reflux, bath flask in a bowl of room temperature water for 5 minutes to avoid thermal shock and breakage of flask.
Set up water bath, large boiling glass bowl with water. Put your flask of cold solution in the water bath and set up reflux condenser with water tube, if you don't have one then just cap your flask tightly and turn on heat. Allow solution to heat up to 60 degrees C, maintain 60 deg C temperature for 2 hours, crystals will grow during this time.
Let solution cool to room temperature, Filter solution and recover crystals.
the crystals are self seeding. these crystals are not the typical large crystals that most people grow at home. the single crystals are very small, nano size, at this size, they are able to pick up all induced waves and convert waves into electrolysis of water.

When cosmic rays hit Earth's atmosphere, they generate a shower of other particles, including muons, which are essentially much heavier versions of their cousin the electron. Some of these particles reach Earth's surface, potentially damaging life on land and in the oceans—muons can even penetrate hundreds of feet below a planet's surface.
The researchers concentrated on two factors that might influence the cosmic ray dose a planet gets—the strength of its magnetic field, and the depth of its atmosphere.

INTRODUCTION
The metal sulfides exhibit a great diversity of electrical and magnetic properties with both
scientific interest and practical applications. These properties apply major constraints on mod-
els of the electronic structure (or chemical bonding) in sulfides (Vaughan and Rosso 2006, this
volume). The pure and doped synthetic equivalents of certain sulfide minerals have actual or
potential applications in the electronics industries (optical devices, photovoltaics, photodiodes
and magnetic recording devices). Sulfides are also components of many thin film devices and
have been extensively investigated as part of the nanotechnology revolution. Certain electrical
and magnetic properties of sulfide minerals mean they contribute to geomagnetism and paleo-
magnetism, and provide the geophysical prospector with exploration tools for metalliferous
ore deposits.

I have found that, be enveloping a patient in a high potential, high frequency field in such a manner that no closed circuit is completed through his body, radioactive and other electronic and radiation phenomena can be used therapeutically with considerably greater effectiveness than if used alone. The exact reason for this is not known, nor is it known definitely which, the electric field or the radioactive phenomena, acts upon the other to produce the advantageous results. It is thought, however, that the electric field permeating the body of the patient as it does attracts the radioactive emanations or radiations and enables them to penetrate considerably deeper into the tissues and vital organs of the patient than would otherwise be the case. In any event, remarkable therapeutic results have been achieved by use of the invention in the treatment of malignant tumors. Arthritis, sinus infections, and various other diseased conditions.

Because muons have a very large mass and energy compared with the decay energy of radioactivity, they are never produced by radioactive decay. They are, however, produced in copious amounts in high-energy interactions in normal matter, during certain particle accelerator experiments with hadrons, or naturally in cosmic ray interactions with matter. These interactions usually produce pi mesons initially, which most often decay to muons.
