How to release an OU device to the world

Hello,

I don't know which of you guys have followed it but Bill over at overunity has claimed to be revealing a solid state device that creates a steady input with no output. He plans to release it within the next couple weeks. Although the thread doesn't talk about the making of the device, it is an interesting read.

He plans to release the design of the device to the world. He holds a 'pending patent' which would secure the device from being stolen by other people/organizations that would want to suppress it. He wants to have a full video stream going during the release. He does plan to start a company to develop and market the device but claims anyone could build one in less than ten minutes for less than $20. The conversation got me thinking.

If you have an over-unity device that could literally change the world how would you release it? Would you patent it? Would you release it open source? Would you get a provisional patent to protect it for long of enough time to let it sink into the open source market (so others couldn't claim it before it was accepted as open source)? Would you try to make money on it? How much? How would you make the money? What would you do to protect yourself from non-moral rich people who would go to extreme measures to stop you and protect their income? Etc.

I have some ideas and will share but was wondering what you guys have thought through first. Happy OU hunting!

I think you have it backwards. The article states "steady output with no input."

Yes we need a criteria in PDF and video with these themes to present (and HOW TO MEASURE ALSO), we have been doing many test with the Doc's caloric meter, i think we should pout together a script and video guide with all the themes you said, so please post your ideas and we should work out a easy guide with ALL elements in place. Advice, options and measurement etc

I think a simple product release process would be great. Feel free to take anything you see here and use it. This is an open source forum after all.

I'll spend some time explaining my ideas however they will probably be long winded and somewhat scattered. The goal here isn't to tell you guys how to do it. It is to discuss different possibilities on how we can, and come up with the best way mutually. Please share ANY ideas you have, even if they are completely opposite from ideas shared already. An ou device is "out of the box" and its release would be the same. By being open to everyone's ideas we will have a better chance at coming up with the best out of the box process, and the energy kings wont be able to contain it.

To start, let's talk about the end goal. Call it PRIORITIES.
To be honest, when I had the current OU concept click in my mind I got soooo excited. Partly because I truly believe I can get it to work, but most of the excitement was because the idea of owning a patent on a device that would have such a high demand is intoxicating.

This excitement motivated me to start thinking about how to release such a product. As I thought more about it I realized that getting a patent on it may not be the best thing to do. (A preliminary patent may be good though as it will give it time to become open source, we will discuss that later)

The corporate world is mean, and with the technologies of today, it is everywhere. I thought about a dear friend of mine. He owned a construction company. One project took him 18 months and he pocketed over $4 million. It was a simple sewer line and road installation for a city in Hawaii. He was a good man and donated much of it to various charities as the time passed. Fast forward to his next project. Another city contract with the same type of construction. He was a "sub". The city was paying the developing company that would then pay him. Work was going well. Then one day he is informed that they are not going to pay him. He never got the money. Having invested heavily in the project (he was starting up in a new state) the lack of payment for which he rightfully earned destroyed him. The battle both in and out of court changed him as a person. He lost his fire and love for life. He became more self-concerned. He was destroyed because the greed of ANOTHER person in the corporate world.

As I hurt for my friend I can't help but be honest with myself. If this type of greed is capable in the construction world, how much more opposition and greed would you face in the energy world?!? Energy is power now days, political power, and there are enough people out there who want that power bad enough to do some bad things to get or keep it.

Hence it makes total sense to me that to plan to be the main person to benefit from the device is selfish and extremely risky. This greed will surely cause you pain in your life as you work to overcome the corporate and political headaches of such a powerful machine. In the end it isn't worth it. Even if you could somehow fight off the sharks, it would change who you are. You would loose your identity and, like my friend, probably become one of the self-centered people that you hated so much. It would probably destroy your family. And, at the end of your life, if you were lucky enough to live on, you have lost who you are.

Perhaps even worse than that, you will have lost the opportunity to help the world as your now 'successful corporation' would be owned and operated by the power hungry greed of the corporate and political sharks.

How do you prevent that? You leave the greed to them and let them destroy their own lives. The cool part is, this story doesn't have to be money or a good life, it can be both... but only IF you are wiling to sacrifice the love of money. Money isn't what motivated you in the first place; a desire to help the world did, with perhaps a chance to provide for you family.

Did you catch that... provide for your family, not become a cash king. You want to provide for your family JUST ENOUGH so you can enjoy your life with them. Enjoy life with them, not loose them. If you succumb to the temptation to want more than that, you are sacrificing your family, your life, and the opportunity to make a HUGE difference in the world.

The first step to safely releasing an OU device is a way to keep your priorities in check. What can you do to make sure your two goals stay NUMBER ONE? Help the world, and enjoy life with your family. That's it. Stay humble and you can do more than you can imagine.

Put a picture on the wall that says "Help the world and enjoy life with my family". Put it on your fridge. Every morning recite a paragraph you came up with that reviews what is important to you and why. Tell your family you love them and you are giving up corporate greed for the chance to be happy with them. Maybe Ash and his team could come up with a video series to watch daily that would remind us of the initial motivation and help us stay on track? Like those on youtube, only with a more humble, save the world, keep your life slant. It might be safest to circulate these through a newsletter than post them publicly on the internet? Or a private video group on a TRUSTED private server? Just throwing out ideas. Anyways...

1: The point is to identify your priorities...
- Help the world
- Serve your life
- Not loose either of the above

2: Then come up with a system, little actions you can do DAILY, to help you keep your priorities straight.

IMO the above is the NUMBER ONE most important thing you can do to safely release a product to the world in a way that will change the world for the better without changing you for the worse.

While this seems to reflect that he wasn't greedy for money at all, I do think it was a bit of a mistake as he wasn't able to fund his own projects later when the other investors turned him down.

Yes he was a good example. This example also demonstrates a need to pursue some sort of income from the release IF you want to develop more technology. (You could leave it as the release and walk away, leaving the development of the idea to the people of the world. In which case, an anonymous reveal would be most safe)

I feel that there should be some profit (at least temporary) for your work and discovery. I have a few ideas how, but will share those later.

I agree that a shock and awe campaign be used to perform the release. Using various hard-to control or even non-controllable communications systems is a must. Reaching thousands on the day of release is also a must.

I have a question though, why do you say no fanfare? By fanfare I read as mass media coverage. I think you can use the mass media as part of the release. And if they don't cover the story you can use it to help inform the world that people do really have influence and/or control over the media.

How I would use it... One or two days before your release notify major mass media companies in your area (meaning nation, you could even go to international news if you want) that you plan to release an overunity device. Invite them to attend the public meeting and cover the release. You could even send the invitation to them via certified mail planning for the mail to get to them one or two days before the release.

Make a list of each media company you invited to cover the release. Document when you invited each of them, and how. If you sent the invitation via certified mail, record the day that they recieved it.

Now, in the back-end part of your release. (The part that is done small-step by small-step to individual forums, video sites, e-mail mass mailings, etc.) Take one little paragraph and explain that... "2 days earlier you invited (this list) of media companies to cover the release which is/was held this day at such and such address at such and such time."

Then leave it to the media and internet to tell the rest of the story. If they cover it great. If they don't, well suppression theory has one more argument against mass media and the world still has the non-public release that should go viral if you do it correctly.

Perhaps you can organize a force that would volunteer to post the videos/shcematics, building directions, etc. on the day of the release. This would mean the person releasing the information would need to coordinate with you guys, but it could multiply the chances of it getting out. For instance, you could have people add their e-mail through Panacea-BOCAF to a circulation list. These are people who volunteer to spam the internet with the release. A day or two before the release, or the day of, you E-mail all of them a copy of any related schematic pdf's, videos (limit the size), concepts, materials lists, building directions, etc. along with a picture of a signed disclaimer written by the person releasing the information that it is being released as open source to the world. Then you send the e-mail out at the coordinated time. Then they get to work. Just an idea.

More or less that's it in a nutshell. If you want to really be safe post it with Wifi anonymously and use heavy encryption to put your identity in the plans somewhere so if the time comes you want to claim it as yours you just supply the password.

I'll be surprised if Bill actually makes it to the demo IF he really has a device that can be scaled up to power a home or car and can do that cheap enough to be attractive to everyone. Posting what he did at OU and in the way he has could be a setup for disaster. If the P-T-B know about him and have checked into what he's got I think he'll only get to demo it IF it's not any real threat to them. He did say he has backup in place and that may keep him safe but I'm sort of wondering at this point since he gave both his email and phone number freely if he doesn't want some big corporation to see it first and offer him some big $$$ to buy it. How many of us can say we would turn down $100,000? A Million? 20 Million DOLLARS? 500 Million dollars? Unfortunately most everyone has a price and it is just a matter of finding it if some company sees it's value and wants it bad enough. Of course after a certain price they will just steal it and take you out. When you have the big bucks there are so many ways to get what you want and that is why I think his idea of patenting and trying to produce it himself may not work well - depending on what kind of power this device has. If it's just an LED powering unit for third world countries primarily then that will probably work for him. But if it can power a car..... whole different game.

Evidence has to be full and concise, with a strategy hammered out by working in ways suggested above in other posts.
Video evidence - The demonstration should be filmed by using a camera not normally used by the inventor, in a location they normally don't film at. Running within a plexiglass shielding outdoors is preferable. All meters, gauges, wire should be shown to be within the housing. An atomic clock could sit within to demonstrate time periods. The encasing should be shown to be tamper proof.
A replication should be made, to prove no one off situation.
All components should match the original and it be a true real replication.
No documentation in terms of schematics or operating procedure should be kept with the replication.
That replication is undisclosed and is passed to a family member, as a 'project' and not disclosed as to what it does. That person then passes it to a trusted individual of their choice for keeping in something like a personal safe or safety deposit box, noone knows what or where it is. The key to the box is then given to the inventor. The inventor has no idea where it is and neither does their family member. The trusted individual has no idea what the thing is and can't get to it anyway. They just know they'll get $100 or something for doing this. It may all be rubbish and later found not to work, so why risk the cash anyway.

The forum boss, be it Aaron or Stefan or whoever is applicable is alerted by PM, from a
proxy internet connection via laptop in an area not normally visited and with a new user name that does relate somehow to the usual posting name.
Key questions are asked to discern charlatan PM's.
Video evidence, schematics etc are then uploaded individually by the inventor, to different places such as Rapidshare or other Zip file type places and given names such as 'Family Holiday video' and 'Christmas with the relatives'.
Those file names are then posted by snail mail to the forum boss, to perhaps a PO Box.
At an appointed date and time, all is released, again by proxy server in the ways described above, media etc all included.

We shouldn't have to think this way, but we do have to and there are many reasons that the stolid technologies work. Let's not forget that warfare and more could erupt from such devices if mismanaged.
In any case, it would seem likely that the generators we work on are small affairs with limited outputs and may indeed not be solutions for bigger energy needs. But, they are part of the solution, a solution that can become the energy strategy for the next phase of mankind.
Another thing, Patents are not required. If all is out there and intended for the world, then the gain is evident without monetary reward.

I have a social and moral conscience and would like to think things can change.
I believe all humans on the planet have a right to certain resources despite the economic position or racial persuasion. The poor have rights to the same health care. The poor have right to free and clean energy, rich or poor we all have rights to equal distribution of resources. If any thing they need it more. The poor out number the rich the poor are the majority when I say poor I mean the working class that have no disposable income left for any thing else. They have homes but cannot afford solar panels or a new car. This is the majority of us all the things that are just out of reach this is the core community that supports the economy. If they use clean fuel it will make a difference to the planets pollution problems. Not the rich if only the rich had electric cars it would not change a thing. The same goes for health.
After all the majority support the economy not the few that sit in the stock exchange playing games with our lives.
You cannot wipe 2 thirds of your population off just because they don’t have the money.
Look what is happening in Brittan right now. This is the out come of that type of thinking, anarchy. Then all you need is some person to come along and organize them point them in the direction of the problem and you have Hitler and Nazi Germany all over again.
A new energy system will do what a thousand tanks and a million people strong army can never do.
My solution is creating a new energy system delivered to the world for free.
Make sure every body on the planet has this information. This would make all patents not worth the paper that they are printed on. I am afraid we are going to need to break the law to change the world.
I make and research OU devices not to become another energy mogul but to stop the corporate tyranny. I am not in this for the money I am in this for the revolution.
I work many hours a day looking for a free energy source and if I find it every person on the planet will get a free booklet on exactly how to do it with no mysteries attached. No guessing games none of that usual bull **** that some many who claim OU always get up to.
They can copy it, patent it. It will be as useless just as all the movie copy right laws are how many people have a pirated DVD or computer program. I bet most of you would not have a computer if you paid for every program on it?
