  • Question

Hi, I need some help. I'm trying to blink some LEDs from a signal generator. I have an app for my iPhone that generates frequencies. I plug a standard headphone jack into my iPhone, and there is another one on the other end of the wire. Can this work, for what I want? What is a simple circuit to let me control the blinking rate?

    correction on led resistance

12.8v will supply the correct amount of current
with about 1.706K of resistance for the wattage of one 30mA 3.2v LED

    .03a * 3.2v is .096w

    .096 / 12.8v is .0075a

    12.8v / 1.706 is 1706 and 2/3

Do you need to involve the signal generator?
If not, google for circuits for the 555 chip.
