  • Who could have taken that Down??

    S
    Maybe your sleep walking ??

Very curious ?? I suppose it will be easy for the gap ? I wonder how it will ring?

I'm still a few days from getting back to this project!!

    Thanks
    Chet

    • Taken Down

      Hi Chet,

I don't know but I know I didn't. I thought it was an interesting curious way of making a Serbian boiler. Now that I've been frustrated by making a bunch of rings of different sizes for different tests, I understand why it was necessary to build a different mouse trap with other nuances. I would say in all likelihood it was not related to Energetic Mgmt. but to an outside source.

      Best Regards,
      Slovenia

Why does your drawing have a blue line ??
Duncan has been talking about a blue line . [only kiddin]

Can you post that again on this page??
        Thanks

        • Roll the Edge

Rolling the Edge is a pain.

Just make a flat variation of the lid and have the tubes flush. You are still going to have to tune the container to either 50 hz or 60 hz depending on whether you are in Europe or USA. The tuning is the tricky part. Oh, the blue line in the pic is the water level.

This pic must be important and worth mentioning again, because someone took it down when it was posted before. Someone brought this to my attention thinking that I had taken it down.

Maybe you should study it again!!!

It looks to me like the "beer can" is to be full of air, NOT water and submerged under the surface of the water in the dunk tank. The domed top is to keep water from entering the inside of "beer can" and it replaces your "outer ring"electrode. I like this arrangement much better. NO I LOVE IT. The amount of overlap vertically of the dome vs.the can is equal to your "outer ring" width measurement. and your "ring gap" is the difference between the dome diameter and the inner EMPTY can diameter. This will also allow the can to RESONATE like a SOB because it is EMPTY !!!

That would prove my theory about acoustic resonance in steam inside can converting it into a "heat accumulator." We can use beer cans without removing much from them, just preparing a nice cap.I like that idea, but I would like horizontal placement also.

              • Air?

                Hi!

I am sorry to say that in this setup the can will be full of water, but my experience tell me: If no flow inside can, the water inside will be much colder than outside..

Still this setup is good, almost same as pic from Slovenia??

There will be standing acoustic wave of 400Hz inside can if all water would be converted into steam and catched there for a moment. It would not escape easily, really. Boiling is from bottom to top because bottom is hot electrode, so in upper can region there would be pure steam catched by sonic wave for a moment, then pressure from bottom will force it to leave can. The longer it can hold steam inside can the better this can can heat water around without consuming much electricity. I've described that in some of very early posted comments. If this is the main idea how it works then it's no more but a known kind of electric heater idea with clever usage of steam as heat exchanger/accumulator.

                    • I guess the time has come to find a suitable box to put our cans and the rest of the bits for this project in!

The Ikea flask should have been put to better use!

                        Hi,

Well my Ikea is running really good now! For me alu-cans melting in 2-3 hours, Ikea have input about 1 200 W and output .. , well Mrs DB is satisfied

We have started to install radiators in spaces that we before only used during summer

                        Have you tested Ikea setup?

This boiler system discussed on this thread does in fact work and it is very easy to make as was demonstrated to you. Some very great concepts were shared here and application of those concepts is being left to the individual. If you plan to utilize this boiler system in real life, you would need to have a very good working knowledge of hvac systems or at least know someone with that background who would be willing to help you. Application is always the hardest part.

Maybe someone will pop in and demonstrate more soon.

                              Hey all,
Just wanted to post an update on can tuning.......
                              I'm still stuck!!!!!!!!!

I still am not happy happy with my tuning. I've got the nail to vibrate a few times, but feel like it can be better. I know the sonic boiler works, so I figure ill spend my time trying to nail down the tuning & figure out some tricks to make it easier on everybody else..
                              Good luck everyone!

                              • Thanks!!

                                Hi Jason,

Thanks for the update. Yes, the can tuning is a real problem if you are trying to tune it the way we are by sanding it until it plays 50 hz or 60 hz depending on whether you are in Europe or USA. Some others have discovered a way to automatically tune the cans electronically without sanding but that is proprietary and hasn't been shared. Mr. "C" said it took him eight days sanding two hours a day to tune his can properly. He used the finest grade sand paper available to him. Still, when the can is properly tuned, it makes a very highly efficient heater and there is no gunk created in the water either. The gunk is a quick way to tell if you are in tune or not. Also, if the can is not tuned properly the aluminum can will deteriorate rather quickly. After all that sanding, you don't want it to deteriorate at all.

                                Best Regards,
