Need little help from electrinic guru, please.

I'd like to build this power supply : Google Images

but make it run from 12V. Is that possible ? Can you advice me proper transformer ratio or maybe some COMMON transformer part number from radioshack or other electronic store (so I would be able to find it also here in Poland locally) ?

Can I add also voltage regulators like in this schematic ? Google Images

Exactly what do you need from the power supply?

I need to power my sine wave generator from 12V battery.
I found this nice boost converter based on LM2577 adjustable which I'd like to mix with two voltage regulators to get steady +15V 0 -15V DC.

The problem is datasheet only mentions transformers from Renco and others not available in my country while I can get LM2577 quite easily :-(
