Yes, but air coil can be also wound in certain ways to contain this flux within instead of spreading much around. Mobius would be just one example. Also, toroidal - Rodin or Starship tend to focus and shape this field in the center.
BTW Dave, I was thinking about you idea with Wimshurst and extra coils pulsed from Leyden Jars. I bet we would get quite a spike from collapsing field...

      • Yes, MonsieurM
Something else occurred to me: different type of Layden Jar to be utilized. Again, this is just a hype (what if, scenario). Making Layden Jars with melting Lucite in between two metal cups and being exposed to hv during melting and cooling process. They could be hooked up to the running Wimshurst (powered by a small motor) while being heated.

@Dave It isn't difficult to make Wimshurst. Most important part are two acrylic discs, at least 10-12" dia. and about 1/8" th. Aluminum self adhesive tape, two skate wheels, brass knobs and brazing rod. I built one back in h.school and would love to make one again.

        Thanks

        • Say we tap the electric field [of Leedskalnin PMH], what will happen, it will replenish itself because the magnetic field has not been broken, it will replenish itself without any input from us, it will draw in the aether, this is how we get energy without destroying the dipole.
this is the road to free energy
          Dave,
I understand what you're saying, and it makes sense to me.

How does this square up with what Steven Marks said about the earth's magnetic field's interaction with the TPU?

I am of the opinion that the TPU and the Leedskalnin PMH are basically operating from the same principle. That is, both are a kind of shorted iron coil which allows for the magnetic field/current to continuously circulate through as long as it is not broken.

An interesting development has taken place in Tito's Energy Amplification thread over on the overunity forum. It now seems that his "kick" may be derived by pulsing a shorted bifilar coil - because of the bifi's own capacitance, it will kick back once pulsed. The kick is then picked up by a 3rd coil would together with the bifi (really, looking at a trifi, with 2 wires shorted together, and one picking up the kick), and this in turn is picked up by a heavier gauge secondary.

The above scenario is taking place with copper windings on an iron core. Do you think it the capacitance of a bifi coil might help to harness the electricity from the PMH's mag current? (Maybe the magnet is where SM gets his pulse/kick). Might the extreme capacitance of a bifi Tesla pancake coil accomplish the same thing, but only better?

          • I wonder what a shorted coil under Lasersaber's super joule ringer would do,
!!! Indeed. We do seem to be moving toward something useful in a number of different setups (with 'different similarities' - to quote Yogi Berra .

            • Dave, have you thought about dipping the PMH in Water and then freezing it....it might give you visual cues to tune it to the appropriate measures like the experiment by: Felix EHRENHAFT where he had visual cues when he dissociated water

I think it would be more than just nitrogen that would be put in the soil, with the sprinkler on. Lots of spark gaps should do the trick, but water flying everywhere could be dangerous.

                      • Let me ask this. If multiple smaller coils were energized each separately would that possibly give multiple stacked electric fields? I would think your ice experiments would tell this if the multiple coils were separated sufficiently.

                        • I froze a iron cored coil and couldnt quite make out what was happening
I may try this out with separate winds on a 1ft 1018 rod using dc. Im wondering if I used long tubes on my pmh with separated windings on top would work.
                          Thanks Dave

                            dave
Yes, the bulb acts as dynamic resistor which impedance increases with current flowing through. Cold filament has low resistance thous, allows low current to flow. Increasing current causes impedance to rise. This is the very reason for using bulb in series with trigger winding in SSG devices.

                            • May I ask some unrelated question ?
Is there any way to compute wire diameter depending on energy and frequency flowing in LC tank circuit, just to not burn wires ?
