    Great LutherG!
The NTE576 are the same rectifiers I use on my controllers and my set-up, excellent performance...after those the NTE588 are also good, but rated under 576.

    Thanks

    Nice weekend to all

    • I just ran the test, and with the single diode in place as Ufopolitics suggested, the primaries did not go up in voltage during the run. I am letting them rest to see how well they recover, but I believe I need to try the test again. I couldn't resist flipping on my inverter a couple times (well, more than a couple) to see if the system could sustain the load of my shop vac on the inverter. It would only display the green working light for a few seconds, then switch to red and the shop vac never came on. So this may have drawn down significant voltage that otherwise would have done something else in the system. As soon as the batteries have had time to rest, I will measure them and get them on the charger, and try a new run with freshly charged batteries.

I did not see as much sparking inside the motor with it connected this way, and the system would not start until I flipped the switch to add a load on battery 3.

        • Oh FUN! Something more to try! Just curious to know if you have tried it? I know you are replicating what we're doing.

OK, here's a weird coincidence that I just HAD to report.
We have a car we use just to haul our dogs around. It's an old junker and we don't care if the dogs have accidents in it. The back seat is gone and I built a platform back there that is carpeted, and walled off from the front by mesh. The car never gets used and has an old battery in it, which died the other night! (Woo Hoo!! another BAD battery to try!!!) I put it on the charger and the charger kept coming up saying "fault", and wouldn't charge the battery, so I put it on the other charger, and it too rejected the battery. So this battery is sitting on my bench right next to all these tests I am running, and I am charging a row of batteries. So when I get to this one I put the charger on it just for the heck of it, and it charges up just like it should. I tried twice when it was in the car with two different chargers. I tried twice when it was out of the car sitting on my dryer with two different chargers. I put it next to these crazy circuits I'm working on, and suddenly it wants to charge? I hear strange and mysterious noises. Next I will hear voices from beyond.

          UFO,
As for the slogan, be my guest. That's my favorite I probably should get rid of some of the ones I have, but each one of those has a special meaning for me.
Be your own man, record everything, think outside the box, don't be afraid to stir things up.

UFO, thanks for posting that schematic. I am already doing something similar, but I will change to this and see what we get.

            Thanks

I just tried this for the last couple hours, no results out of the expected. Really no better than the original circuit. The motor still heated up.

                      I used these diodes

24 Volt 300 Watt Motor with 11 Tooth #25 Chain Sprocket (Currie Technologies)

This type of Motors are Flat Pancake Type , their Coils are very short as longitudinal size, meaning: Very Poor Generating Voltage Capabilities. not to say the worst ones.

The best Motors for this test will be the Elongated Cylindrical type, The Typical and conventional motor , where the vertical wires (The ones that actually "generate electricity") run all along the elongated body and PM's are also elongated.

                            Regards

                            • Ufopolotics,

Razor scooter motors are brushed DC motors. I have three of them and have had them apart.

Which motor are you using for your replication of the circuit?

Yes Dave, I know they are PM Brushed.
What I was referring to, are to Motor Generating Capabilities, that is what we are looking for right?
The Razor's are Currie's Technology Motors (I had researched this type of motor before, and I am familiar with them) They are meant to run off High-Tech Batteries (LiPo, Lithium Ions, etc)...They perform as motors excellent, but their generating abilities are very poor, compared to the elongated type cylindrical motors.

I am Going to be using different types of Motors and I will run a video of my tests...(It is not going to be in the next day or so...I am working on Anti-gravity of Radiant Field Video...sorry)
I will be using this type :
                                Imperial Motor Frame 56

However, also small type like you have on video from Radio Shack, cheap ones and Hobbies expensive ones...)
Also Starters Motors for R/C Gasoline Helicopters , those are great, they run on 12V but excellent torque. Sullivan's and Chinese cheaper ones...

The Short Armature Rotor Type Motors have a pretty much shorter vertical coil wire (the ones that runs parallel to shaft), The longer this wire in the Coils, the more current motor will generate...Magnetic field is longer, magnets are longer and coil is longer...
This is an Old Law from Faraday..."The conductor that cuts the magnetic field perpendicular to its plane..."
I have tested both types, differences are huge referring to what I mentioned before.

It is not worth to go through all this experiment with a type of Motor that maybe at 3000 RPM's will deliver 5-6 volts...it will never even charge a 9 V small battery...much less what We are throwing at it to charge.
The Center of Your experiment here -The way I see it- is The Motor type you use..

Below is a video, so you have an idea of the motor the guy is testing for generating capabilities...look at it and compare it with the Razor length...
and see the performance (generating voltages) at low -high RPM's tests
