  • Willow Water

    Willow Magic
Make your own willow water (Rooting Hormone).
The hormones in the willow will induce rooting in plants for cloning/propagating
    from plant cuttings.
Plus you can chew the bark instead of taking an aspirin .. (read above article)

I don't have a willow tree but they are generally easy to find.
They can be found near the water or waterway because they like lots of water. Any kind of willow tree will work.

I suggest you do as I have done once you find some willow.
You get a pot and plant 6 to 12 pieces of 1/4" -1/2" diameter about
6" to 12" long into your pot for future use ..
You'll be able to multiple your source of willow forever afterwards.

    Propagating Plants from Stem Cuttings

Cuttings can double, triple , etc the number of plants in your garden.
It should be easier to swap cuttings than to swap seeds with fellow gardeners.
You'll have a source of "rooting hormone" to help encourage swapping.

    Love and light

    Update

3 days ago I saw the first shoots coming out of the willow cuttings I planted.
First time I've done this, I'm guessing they must be rooting by now
if they are putting out new leaves.
    That's quick?

I soaked rose cuttings for 24 hours, the same day I got the willow cuttings.
No roots on the rose cuttings yet.
They have been sitting in plain water since being soaked.
