  • why we use different diameters of the coil for bedini motor

what the effect if we use the same diameter of the coil?

  • #2
wire size, number of turns, and wire length all effect the coil. wire length is all about resistance, wire size is current carrying at a fixed resistance and turns determines henries. I have found all 3 affect how well a battery charges. also whether or not you are running solid state or with a rotored SG affects it also. generally speaking you want your wire to equal one ohm in length. so for 18 gauge its around 100 feet. for the core size you want something that will induce enough current in the trigger wire to open the base of the transistor. if its too small not enough flux density, too big and the magnetic field stays inside the core instead of reaching out into the windings, and does not induce the trigger. you can make a seperate trigger coil if you want, and experiment from there.
