  • Size of cap dump needed

    Hi all....
i would like to know peoples views on the amount of volts to use for a cap dump to 12v battery’s....in many of the bedini videos i have herd him say that the cap dump should be a few volts over the battery so say about 15v and a hi farad rating.....but what if one wanted to dump to a bank of battery’s...say 4 12v 45ah.
would i need to x4 the 15v by so a 60v dump or would a parallel set up on bats be ok....... Thanks

    Starting Out

John Bedini uses 31vdc in his video for charging a 12vdc battery.

Figure twice the batteries ending charge cycle voltage of 15-16vdc.

This is why John used 31vdc.

      Dumping

      20k, 40k or 60k microfarad

For a small battery 20k and you will get a 2-4 amp pulse maybe.

As the amp pulse gets bigger it takes longer to charge the big bank.

Ok thank you for that info.... should i times the voltage i will need by the amount of battery’s or line them up in parallel... ?.. and why does it take longer to charge a bat bank with higher impulses ?

Thank you for your reply all

No it takes longer to charge a bigger cap bank before you dump it.

Yes if you have 3 batteries in series like I do then dump at 90vdc.

          I have pallet size batteries.

why do you have your batterys in series like you say rather than paralell ? its my thinking that in para It would share the discharge equally between bats...or does sending the discharge throu the bats in series have an advantage...?
