Okay, a little off topic but a cheap spark gap can be had by drilling a hole in the side of a pencil.

Are you talking to me? I am not questioning the possibilities here.
Can you show a circuit or a direction to go in? Is this a Don Smith?

What does the spark gap do to help this? If any. No spark gap?

ok bromikey, I will try using the pencil spark gap in the charge battery circuit after finishing this build.
I will also draw an update of my build.

Why this thread?

My nephew, Austin Midyette, destroyed my work 27Nov2017.
It was half built. I’m rebuilding.
TeslaGenX is my coil supplier.
I’m using the torn up garage made possible by said nephew to prove a point.
The crazy people never win, they make everyone lose.

Summary of build

I took random parts from a disaster and built a battery charger that runs a couple of weeks before shutting down/off.
I haven’t tried to teach overunity or sell anything.
I hope the work helps more than myself.

I must warn the inexperienced to build anything with extreme caution.
If it moves and something is glued to it or near it, protect yourself from projectiles.

I have been tinkering with an idea to use 2 bedini style pulse energizers to spin a Whimhurst generator. I am building a small one first as a proof of concept, I just got another batch of transistors so I can fix my current experimenters wheel.

Cap dump circuit

Hey BroMikey, the cap dump circuit is a simple one, right from your website.
I only have an electret photo flash capacitor @330wv @120 microfarads and a
200 vdc @ 270 microfarads.
The photo flash would not work, maybe not the best choice, but I only have those two choices, remember this is what I find in my garage.
I hooked up the 200 vdc 270 microfarad capacitor and it flashed then glowed on the charge circuit side and stopped flashing.
What is your mind set on this tiny problem?
