That is self oscillation method that is probably one of the most simple...just high resistance at the base and/or emitter. I found this on my own about 7 years ago....heard the buzzing and thought I was tapping some new cosmic energy because my rotor was NOT turning.

If your battery symbol is showing in your multimeter, stop there. Replace it with a fresh one.

Thanks for your advice, First I didn't know what that symbol mean. But I just make sure the multimeter reading is inaccurate .

Will buy the new replacement soon.

Today I try another Battery 100AH-12V and the result are same "Voltage Jump up" (the previous one is 70AH-12V).

Maybe the Multimeter the problem...that the cheap one and the battery symbol was always reading like Aaron said.

This happen after I using 2 unit of SSG using Trifillar coil to charge 1 Battery. this setup is charge very quick. only need 36 hours to charge 70AH-12V from 10.5V - 14.30 at least quicker than my single one (normally I need 3 - 4 Days).

my question :

Is my multimeter broken because this setup? or the Battery broken also after using this Setup?

I have success reconditioning 1 motorcycle Battery using single SSG. So now bit worry me .

2 possiblities

1. You have 2 bad batteries.
2. You need to replace the battery in your multimeter with a charged one.

Bad batteries take weeks if not months to get them back in line with a standard ssg.

If your battery symbol is showing in your multimeter, stop there. Replace it with a fresh one.

Isn't that a sign of sulphation? when you first start charging a sulphated battery the voltage shoots up because of the resistance in the battery, then as the sulphate starts to break down the inpedance of the battery drops and so does your voltage.

I had a battery like that. It was a car battery I found on the side of the road. It would hold 12 volts, but not for long. With it connected to the energizer (it had to be a pretty powerful one for this 500cca battery) it would shootup to over 13 volts straight away and then creep down. As it got more conditioned it wouldnt do this however.

I think it is the condition of the battery, though your multi meter could come into it as well.

Today I found the Charging battery voltage jump up from 11.62 to 14.15 in two minute on my SSG then slowly down...

What happen with my SSG / Battery? anyone know about this? or maybe you have same experience....

I agree with Aaron, first change your battery. This can also be a sign of lack of electrolite, or a very sulfated battery. If this is the first time you have seen this battery, then if the battery in your voltmeter is good, try another voltmeter, and try another battery. Soon you will get to root cause.

The bad batteries that have a surface charge will not last long under load, and the high voltage will drop like a rock.

input battery voltage climbing

If you're using a small cheap digital multimeter, it 'could' be the battery is going down in the meter...'could' show higher voltages than the real voltage. Had a cheap one and when I got it new, the battery symbol was always reading no matter if the meter battery was good or bad...I thought that showed the battery was good.

But, I have seen the input battery voltage rise with good analog meters and good digital meters. The battery voltage can do this if there is a short inside the battery.
