Lol @ the fridge magnets! Id never get them off the fridge!
Sorry if I seemed to be attacking you at all in my last post, it was never intended that way at all!
I admire the amount and variety of experiments you have conducted Mart, you must have a decent sized garage! I just built a little solid state device the other night and it is interesting, (and compact!) but like you say the rotor offers more possibilities.
One question, does the Neo rotor you have (the one which blows transistors) oscillate solid state on startup sometimes. One of the air cored neo rotors I had would suck amps on startup in solidstate unless the rotor was spun before it was switched on.
300v transistors cool Let us know how they perform.
Yes the coils cry out when I first start the SSG with the neos that blow the transistors.
It seems as though the solid state method is the direction the company is focused on.
I tend to like the wird science look of the rotory versions though , the solid state products look like everything else (from the outside).
My dad and I are about to build an electric car, so it's good to know that they sell radient chargers for that purpose.
I got myself a remote control car for $5.00 with controller. I brought it home and found that remote worked and put a good battery on the car it worked great.
However... when I put the small battery on my ssg 10V .750 MA I burnt out a transistor. I though whoo.. what is going on here. I open up my SSG and replace 2nd transistor ( very hot ) and hook it back up watching the cirucuit this time. As soon as i turned on the power the neon came on .... hmmm so I put the terminals on another battery and it worked right away.
I had never had the neon come on while I was attached to a battery. I measured the voltage on the battery and it was 4.0 V
Next steps... i wonder is there a short, or is it sulfated?
Or... am I just hitting it too hard. I may try a weaker charge.
Mart, I have a friend who has exploded several small batteries by charging them with SSG. Maybe your battery is just too small in capacity and can not absorb all the spike energy and the rest, that is not absorbed, hits the transistor, making it heat up and burn eventually.
It's better to wear off by working than to rust by doing nothing.
I moved the voltage down till the neon went out. This is a very cool voltage regulator, i can take 6V from one golf cart battery and turn it up to 14V with the one I got.
This is the second test with this, I have not tested how well it charges but it is now letting me charge with out lighting my 90V neon.
HI all , been busy very busy indeed. since last time i have built a few working energizes even a pendulum setup. just letting people know you have to have time and lots of it to do the tests propely to understand it (John Bedini is no liar in what he's doing ..........thats the truth) Hey dont expect things to be perfect nothing ever is but if you really focus on what you really want out of it , it will evolve with your knowledge evolving with it . Here is some help for people starting out . Dont go against the grain in the diagrams at first its not wood .... if you first impression is this things never gunna work.....youll probley never understand and not get anything working so walk away while you can and leave it for someone else.ive just spent 1 month straight everyday working on these and had things running at the beginnig and i only have just scraped the sides in the knowledge John bedini knows.. ukfgfr;ldrbedinidafbnjxfjworksjkekekfcvr,y, once the confusion is over it will happen for u ......... ive used from car light relays for coils to 600 turn bi , tri , quad filer coils they all work but in different ways.. understand the transister you need to suit your coil(most times bigger coils need bigger transisters but not allways)types ive used mje,mjl,2n,in different sizes. if u carnt afford transisters pull some old electric tv , monitors, compter power supplys etc appart and look for transisters begining with C example(c825=small c5882=large)these will work for the begining
magnets sizes and gaps between them play an important roll .not so much the distance between coil and magnets.Dont use neo magnets at the start there to strong most times and attract to much to the coil core on basic setups.4 to about 8 magnets evenly spaced work fine and have them set so there not to close together but not to far apart youll have to trial and error it. Use variable resistors for your trigger to the transister(1k variable & 100ohms fixed in series as typical setting) Coil to transister to battery size ratio balance is what your after ...........tuning .. excellent poor mans reference grab a small battery powered AM radio and tune to u hear the noise of the generater pulses (hold it close to the coil or batterty)good or what then .................. mic the radio sound to an audio interface to your computer into a DAW sound and vision on you measure list now..........
