Bedini solid state oscillator and Tesla switch combination

    Hi muon, it's the basic bedini school girl motor circuit, though in this case it is solid state and self oscillates. You may need to short collector and emitter to jump start depending on your bifilar coil and core/or no core. Need enough inductance for self oscillation.
    I'm using an NPN 2n3055.
    It probably can function like matts T. switch, though more tests would have to be made, though that aside, it works great as a battery charger and at rejuvenating, the normal pulse of current mixed with the radiant spike afterward seems to work very good on batteries.

      Thanks SkyWatcher! Yes that helps, although if anyone has any further information like the inductors' used, that would help a lot. Tomorrow is Monday and I'll start my experimental build.

        I tried again on this with exact placement of batteries but cannot get oscillation even when shorted Emmiter and collector for a little.
        How much resistance coil are you using guys? cause mine is about 6ohms.
        I have another bigger coil motor but this I had modified it a bit with two resistors to self oscillate maybe this I have to dismodify to work.
        Ok if there's any help I appreciate.

          Hi guruji, my bifilar is around a half ohm per strand, 18 gauge, with a rather large ferrite core taken from audio crossovers.
          Maybe try lower base resistor or adjust it.
          It's possible when using 2AA's in series charging 1.2volts or 2AA's in parallel, that a sufficient low ohm is needed with enough inductance in bifilar to get enough current flow to start oscillation.
          I noticed this when trying to get the circuit to work reliably with my 13.8 volt power supply and it goes in and out of oscillation with 12 volt batteries in charge position, since only around 1.2-1.5 volts is energizing the coil.
          So it seems a little more tricky to get reliable oscillation and much current flow through when the voltages between batteries are so close, so in that case, lower ohm bifilar coil may be needed.

            Thanks Skywatcher for response; so I have to make a new motor cause all my motors are about 6ohm coil

              Hi guru, I don't know if you have to, what voltage batteries are you using or going to use.
              Like i said, it seems more difficult to get any good output and reliable oscillation with the 2.4 volt AA series charging the 1.2 volt AA parallel setup, though works ok ,since those batteries don't need much to charge.
              Though if you use 24 volts input, charging 12 volt, you should have no problem getting oscillation and good charging rate.
              So your doing this with a motor, i see.
              Mine is solid state, so yours may behave different.

                Hi Skywatcher I am using about two 12v batteries in series although one is not that charged to another two in parallel. No not to a motor but to an SSG.
                What solid state schematic are you using not Bedini SSG?

                  can you give me details on the coils specs , i have ssg with motor but want to do SOLID STATE , how many turns , ohms gauge, bifiliar with what 18g and 22g core or without core ..

                    Hi folks, Hi guru and helloall, 18 gauge bifilar, around .6 ohms per strand, large ferrite core, never counted turns, air coil will work also.
                    It is the school girl motor circuit, though with proper coil and base resistor, it self oscillates, making it solid state, this circuit.

                        Though I'm sure many coil gauges, ohms, turns, core, no core, will work as well, just need to experiment.

                        I'm currently trying to rejuvenate my old car battery that died a month ago, not much luck though, the oscillator may need more strands with a transistor for each strand to push the battery up higher and maybe desulfate more effectively.
                        Seems one or two cells of the battery are shorted out from the corrosion, etc.
                        I'm going to be running some more tests with this circuit.

                          Today I did the coil on 0.8ohms bifilar but still no oscillation. Is there other guys that can share there lenght coils pleasefor 12v batteries?

                            Hi Guruji

                            I used 2 18ga twisted and mine works just fine. I have noticed that any steel will keep it from oscillating, like setting it on a steel bench. Also try swapping the trigger ends and the resistance should be less than 200 ohms.

                              Hi 49er thanks for help. Yes I was putting it on batteries which have metal maybe these effect. Regarding coil lenght how much resistance you're using?
                              Did you find this circuit better for dissulphation?
