  • Window motor torque?

    Hi to all members
This is my 1st day and 1st post on energetic forum. I am very interested in making a window motor exactly like Ren made ( John Bedini/Ron Cole window motor replication by Ren ).Basically I want to run a small 220v alternator from this motor but don't know about the torque and rpm it produces as I couldn't find any video or technical data of this replication though it seems much powerful. The 12 magnets used in this design are expensive ( 18,000rs ) and I have a total budget of 40,000rs. Therefore I need to confirm this before starting the project. If it does not produce enough torque then can we increase it by adding more coils or replacing ceramic magnets with neodymium magnets? Any help, suggestion or guidance will be appreciated.

Welcome Electromans. Yes, to both of your questions. Neo magnets, their size and coils (wire size and their number) as well as adjusting bipolar switch towards more current will increase the torque.
I hope someone with working device will be able to help you more.

So many thanks for your reply. The maximum size of neo's available here is 46mmLx30mmWx10mmT (n42) which is very small and very expensive ( 29,000 for 12 pcs ) and I think they are not gonna work due to small size. Thinking about using the bigger ceramic magnets used by Ren with 2 windings of 20swg and 5windings of 16-18swg to improve torque. If any friend has done work and experiments on window motor improving it's torque, please let me know thanks.
