new thread on o2 sensor non-fouler mod

I just started a new thread:

    http://www.energeticforum.com/renewa...n-foulers.html

This is specifically on this exact modification. I already installed it on one car a 91 Honda Civic DX 1.5 liter 4 speed. That is my gas mileage car. I have achieved 43mpg in the city in the past with different things coupled with sunday driving habits.

On average with RXP fuel additive I get about 35mpg in the city and without I get about 30 in the city on a 10 gallon tank.

Cost me about 8 bucks and did it today. That link has details and I made a pdf with pics and other info about how I did it.
    Sincerely,
    Aaron Murakami

      Hydrogen booster

      Hey guys and gals..
I just completed installation of a hydrogen booster (hydrogen on demand type) on my wife's 93 Lincoln Continental which is a V6 with just over a hundred thou miles. Low miles for a 93. Anyway, I used the park plug non-foulers for the O2 sensor. This car has always, since new, gotten really good mileage (24 to 30, depending on driving conditions, fuel quality and just being right, I guess.. After the hydro booster, just the first 6 mile run at 55mph, with cruise control on really good highway (I live in southern Louisiana, just try to find a good highway. LOL . Anyway my initial run average, according to dashboard indicator, 33-37mph. VERY good for the trial run, will let you know how it does as we go along.. I sell those books on Water4Gas on my website, if anyone should happen to want them for research or whatever, I'd appreciate a shot... Thanks Garry

rule of thumb for HHO vs engine size

I got a HHO gen on a 97 gmc 1/2ton with a 350 geting a + of 3-mpg. Workingon a 84 one ton with a 460 cu in. I'm trying tfine out how much is to much HHO as I woul like to just plug it in and go. Lt of ppl would like one but dont kno enought about them or wht they will do if you over boost. My generators put out about 1 LPM. I'm working on trying to make them fo tractors and farm trucks, whichwill handle alotmore HHO. I just put on the defulers on my GMC, willetyou know how it works when Iget a bigger genrator on it.

As a side note: If you have a car that is borderline in passing emissions, the best thing you can do before an Emissions Test is CHANGE THE OIL. It makes a HUGE difference. @ Racer426
Also Clean the throttle plates with your fingers and Carb Cleaner. Fords are real bad for building up gunk on the throttle plates.

Can anybody take the time to explain simply what the Protium Oxyisolator is?
Is it like the thing in the Dpapers that leans the signal out to the computer from the O2 sensor. Hows it differ?

          Thanks

The Protium Oxyisolator is just a O2 extender.

Consider this first from Bob Boyce

Please note- it is possible that the O2 sensor "isolators" CANNOT WORK! They do exactly opposite of what is claimed. The O2 sensor output would have to be RAISED in voltage to lean out the mix. Taking the sensor out of the exhaust stream lowers the temperature, which LOWERS the voltage and causes the ECU to richen up the fuel air mix ratio! It also can cause the sensors to foul prematurely.

                What is the answer?EFFIE??

This seems to be the $64xxx question. The solution to 02 sensor sending a false signal for richer fuel mix. Thus defeating the hydroxy purpose as a fuel substitute...

So it seems the EFFIE is the way to signal the ECU (Engine Control) and get the variable fuel mix wanted by user switching.

It appears that the reseach is pointing in the direction away from the CO2 extenders and foil wraps. Does everyone agree that a electronic solution like EFFIE style is the better way at this point?

                  Extender VS Effie

Wpage: I concur on that, the O2 extension may provide a marginal adjustment to the fuel control input but the Effie gives us a completely controllable system that will let our vehicles computer do what it was intended to and still give us the fuel economy.
I still want my truck to climb a hill or adjust to varying road conditions on its own.

                    Hey Tarkus,

I am a mechanic/fabricator and am in the near future going to be working on a system that will tie in with the Effie and monitor engine load via the map sensor circuit, therefore detecting engine load as it happens. It shouldn't be a real problem to come up with a "package deal" that would make almost any hydroxy system alot more user friendly. As my first built cell is still in the conditioning phase, I have not started working on this yet, but will post my findings as soon as I start playing with it. I am new to this whole thing, so if anyone else has tried something like this I would be grateful for any info on their findings. Thanks to all, for a wonderful forum.....................

No need for the MAP sensor monitor. The EFIE's that are designed right, automatically adjust to load using the Systems already in place by the factory ECU.

Cool, saved me some time right there. Which one (I know there are a bunch) would you reccommend to be the best usable model that's purchasable?

does anyone know what specifics he uses in his hydrogen booster? i cant figure out why it would cost over $2,000. you can purchase the Browns gas generator (for cutting/welding) for the same price!!

and according to his estimates, their hydrogen booster is not really that good.
                              Hi Adam.
What Brown's Gas generator are you talking about? The only one I know of is Danny Klien's in Clearwater, Fl. & last I checked it was $7,000.
I agree with Aaron, stay away from Dennis Lee's stuff. Your impression of him seems accurate, that's why his stuff is so pricey.
