    Best wishes.
    Hi Kinetix,

Thanks. The oil leak comes from the failure of one of two magnesium mounting tabs that broke off of the block. The tabs hold the oil cooler onto the oil gallery holes. It requires a mechanical fix. The engine is out of the Bug ... needed to re-torque the heads anyway. I'll post some pictures.

My vapor system produces steam from an I-V drip system that drips water onto one of the hot exhaust pipes inside one of the heater boxes. So I am ingesting high steam-content air ... no water droplets.

Thanks again for your comments and suggestions re the Oscillator.

    • power-end caps

      Hi everyone,

I added my two cooling fans. Those things are very electrically noisy. Because of this I noticed that the Oscillator / Inverter is sensitive to noise on the power supply. So I added 2000 uF across the 12 VDC 'at' the board and it mostly went away. I'll use more on the final installation. I also did a 'short' test and the circuit handles that just fine ... one minute short on the output and the transistors stayed cool.

So, make sure your input power lines are "quiet" or there might be an effect on the circuitry.

Does anyone have an online source for NTE517's?

My local electronics store just told me they can't get then now.

        Thanks,

Or an alternative to the NTE517s would be fine also because they are expensive.

          Thanks

                      Thank you.
It's better to wear off by working than to rust by doing nothing.

                          Looks great as usual Greg

I called Mike (jstadwater) today at the shop to see if everything is okay and all is fine Since he is working at a business, he needs to focus at this time to complete a Lamborghini project car for delivery before the Christmas holidays.

He will hopefully re-join us in the new year

                            Hi everyone,

Has anyone had success with getting the plasma effect with the stock magneto? I search magneto and MagnetO (user) comes up so I can't easily search

Any schematics would be greatly appreciated!

But this thread is 100% incorrect and an insult to our intelligence .

This thread needs to be closed , it is hindering true progression ...
                              I Really tend to agree.
Its Just a Bunch of CRAP.

                              • respectful posting only please

                                Chemelec,

It is fine to respectfully disagree here or start another thread.

43% increase in gas mileage isn't crap. Neither are the other actual results others are getting.

In case you're taking Dankie's lead on this, this thread was in no way an attempt to replicate what Meyer was doing in case that is what you disagree with. That is a totally different discussion and is available on a different thread.
                                Sincerely,
                                Aaron Murakami
