Hi E.L.W.,
Thanks for cranking up the voltage and resuscitating this thread. I had thought that folks had simply lost interest in it due to the fact that S1r failed to keep his promise of fully revealing and explaining all of his methodology. There were so many people who attempted to replicate what S1r had shown in his videos, and no one quite succeeded, but I think that is largely because none of us had a real understanding of what actually occurred. Posts 70 and 72 of this thread go a long way towards explaining the facts that we were missing, but even still there are some things left to guesswork and experimentation.
Best regards,

Water Spark Plug thread page Query

That Water Spark Plug thread is quite long, so I was wondering if you knew approximately where you posted the zip file? Thanks.

Can the S1r circuit be converted somehow to just a plasma igniton?

I need to hit the sack, so will have to wait to mull this over myself, but thought I would post it for anyone who may be interested. He didn't specify what engine he has used this circuit with, but there is a distributor pictured in the diagram.
Incidentally, I am investigating new information regarding S1r's YouTube "video 1" that was discovered and brought to my attention by a person in New York. I will post the details once I am able to sort this information out. The bottom line, though, is that it does appear to help substantiate S1r's claims.
Best to all,
Rick
Thanks so much for posting all the S1r related information. It is a truly impressive system. Would there be some changes that I could make to this system that would allow me to render it a plasma ignition system only for an internal combustion engine? I'm not looking to burn water but I would like to test a similar system burning other fuels. Thanks for any help you can give.
Best Regards,
Slovenia

Thank You For This Post

The feed from the coil would go in as per the diagram, and instead of the other end going to the plug itself, run it to the centre of the distributor.
Wouldn't this effectively amplify all the spark travelling through the distributor? Sending out a much more powerful spark down the plug leads as per the normal way it's done?
Using this approach, couldn't we get away with running only 1 S1r circuit, and do away with all the other stuff?
Hi Rosco1,
Thanks for posting this information. I think this is the information I've been looking for.

I don't think that would work out very well, because the power increase would cause the distributor cap contacts, and the rotor, to burn out rather quickly. Using a separate transformer for each plug avoids that scenario, and the cost and time involved in making these transformers is just about nothing. Also, I should mention that diodes are not needed with this transformer, because there is no harmful feedback to the distributor or ignition coil.
:Unquote.
Rick,
I reason that the contacts are already doing that job now, but with a blue spark.
I'm leaning toward the thought that the amplified spark might be actually running cooler across the contacts, as opposed to the blue. No?
Thanks Rick & Rosco

Adapted to suit...
Slovenia,
A few of us looked at this issue in depth, quite a while back now.
A practical way to overcome the inherent problems of running plasma through the distributor were addressed.
I suggest you acquire the Aquapulser RPG4700 user manual and make careful study of it, for that approach is arguably the best way to go.
I use the RPG4700 on my everyday vehicle, and have done so for more than 1 year now, with no issues arising, other than excessive plug wear when using certain(normal) spark plugs.
By doing it that way, you retain the original(standard) spark system, which effectively controls the plasma dump from the RPG to the plug, and in doing so, avoids the plasma/distributor issue completely.
I'm not sure if Aquapulser still display the user manual I'm referring to, as they may have upgraded or omitted it along the line, thus if you're unable to get your hands on it via their website, then PM me with your email address and I'll sling you a copy of mine.Attached Files

Thanks for the information. I've been studying a lot in this area lately and there are so many posts on the water spark plug thread that it takes forever to go through all those posts.
I appreciate your help very much.

I'm unable to open your links.. I figured you must have moved your old files.
The link in post #64 still doesn't work for me ... Can you check it ?
Thanks,
Timm
