      new powered car

This technology is what most of us dream for and I hope it will come into reality in the future. Water should be able to run a vehicle since it has oxygen which is used for burning. Right now, I'm reading car blogs to know more.

        Truth or not?

Thushara Priyamal EdirisingheAlso in 2008, Sri Lankan news sources reported that Thushara Priyamal Edirisinghe claimed to drive a water-fuelled car about 300 kilometers[32] on three litres of water.[33][34] Like other alleged water-fuelled cars described above, energy for the car is supposedly produced by splitting water into hydrogen and oxygen using electrolysis, and then burning the gases in the engine. Thushara showed the technology to Prime Minister Ratnasiri Wickramanayaka, who "extended the Government’s full support to his efforts to introduce the water-powered car to the Sri Lankan market."[33]

Thushara was arrested a few months later on suspicion of investment fraud.[

Whether he was a fraud or not, I do not know. Seems quite a few people that claimed OU DEFINITELY have been though because their magnet motors/engines/other were sufficiently tested and never worked. Many folk admitted themselves they were frauds.

Either way, not very smart to publicly admit you have a water engine especially to governments whose main income is derived from oil taxes and such.

kind of wish I had been here a couple years ago. I have watched while Tech has been subverted for 35 years. It matters not who comes up with it. I feel that yes, if I can build something to power my truck and cycle, and heat my home, then I have succeeded.

I truly hope that this gent has had a better outcome, than some of the persons I have heard about.

          Cheers!

I would have to disagree that Aaron is an open source engineer. He sells all of his idea's. He will tell you that all his info is publicly available but you have to find it and make sense of it. I have nothing against him personally but i think info should be shared freely without a cent involved. Using this forum to promote DVD sales is going to give them a bad name and a few here already agree. I know i will get a nasty response from this post but i will not reply so as not to start another pointless rant. This is just my opinion in a place where ideas and free speech are welcome. Ash you could not be more correct in saying that all this stuff needs to be open source for it to get out there.

People like lidmotor, slayer, drStiffler, jonnydavro, etc are the real open source engineers. Not one of these guy's have asked money for information.

By the way, Ash, the topic title says 50ma and the news article says 500ma

I agree with Chris, this is the car technology that is very ideal in the present since gas price is very unpredictable. Rather than spending the money for gas, just use it to buy auto parts and auto accessories for the vehicle.

Hi Zooty, thanks for correction on the amps, i made this post when we were working on the plasma spark thread, he was open source then he may come back ? , its sad that things change, especially with the economic climate, but we dont, you can always count on that.

Lidmotor, slayer, drStiffler, jonnydavro does well yes

Found anything exciting? This is a really intriguing technology and it'd be nice to see some current development/research/funding.

Running cars on water is a very spoiled idea. Actually I wouldn't be surprised if someone find that we are currently doing that, running cars on hydrogen energy from gasoline.

Making the water vibrate in a certain way/frequency, before splitting it makes it more efficient? Interesting theory...

Well, been several years since this have been posted but look at the industry now, they are adapting the Sri lankan technology just to come up with an alternative to the skyrocketing price of fuel. On the other hand, it's good thing to know that the automotive industry together with the auto makers are doing moves to completely address the issue. Some of them came up with the electric ones while others are engaging up several car parts that would definitely help in lessening fuel consumption.
