  • Urea as Hydrogen Storage vrs Compression

    Hey GROUP!

One molecule of urea, contains four atoms of hydrogen
bonded to two atoms of nitrogen. Stick a special nickel
electrode into water and urea, apply an electrical current,
    and hydrogen gas is released.

The gas is evolved with 0.37 VOLTS and produces 2(H2)
instead of one H2 at 1.23v as with water. At that low
voltage the water will remain and more urea can be mixed
in. 32 cells in series for 12volt system.

Urea prices have fluctuated between $80 to $200/ton
(12 to 30 cents/gallon) in the last three years, the ADL
    study shows.

    Urea Prices and Pricing Information
well now thats cheap cheap as gas used to be a very
    long time ago.

mix with water when its finished the water will remain,
ready to be mixed with more urea...

Not going to work on cars in the great white north.
But it most certainly would run a small genny the
electrolyiser can be in a 10ft deep manhole so it stays
    cool and unfrozen...
