          nitrogen hydroxide

Nitrogen hydroxide is not a specific molecule - it is a generic term to describe various water gas + nitrogen mixtures. With this usage, nh3 or nh4 is a "nitrogen hydroxide", etc...

Aaron as you know for split nitrogen is needed some energy more than oxygen.. in that way isb't possible obtain NH3 or N2H4 from Nitro cell because we are asking about that.

              nitrogen hydroxide

NH3 is only an example to point out what a water gas + nitrogen can be.

"Nitrogen hydroxide" is just a general reference to water gas + nitrogen. It covers every possible gas that can be made from water + nitrogen in a "nitro cell".
              Sincerely,
              Aaron Murakami

Moller International, inventors of the SkyCar, re-engineered the Wankel to overcome all its problems. Then broke out this division of the company to market the engines. Seems to have died on the vine. Don't know why? Supposed to be ready to go even in small sizes.

                Welcome to FREEDOM MOTORS

Heard years ago that the first engines were going to the military? Maybe they disappeared into a black hole? No new news since 2010.

                  Another great little motor

I see that Aaron copied my post regarding the Pattakon and has placed it in this thread. I thought it would be best if I continue to post messages regarding any engines that I find in the future in this thread as this thread is developing into one where attention is given to more efficient petrol or diesel engine designs.

Another engine that I came across is the Sheperd Engine from New Zealand. The inventor has figured out a way of eliminating the crank shaft resulting in an engine made of fewer parts, lower weight, greater fuel efficiency and higher torque.

                  Shepherd Engine > Home

Short Documentary Of the Shepherd Engine - YouTube

The torque figures are what attract me the most to this motor. The inventor claims based on their test results the engine generates 257 Kw and 2448 Nm (that isn't a typo) at 1500 rpm per litre of engine volume. If these claims are correct then this is probably the best diesel or petrol engine that I've come across. If it also generates high amounts of torque at low speeds then you could eliminate the gearbox of a car, with the exception of forward and reverse gears.

The main issue with this engine has been vibration. As shown in the previous clip and in the following clip you can see that the earlier prototype is vibrating too much to be used as a means of motive power:

                  First Start 2005 - YouTube

They appear to have minimised vibration with the following setup. A video of this prototype shows that vibration has been reduced:

I hope that the engine performs as well as they claim and would love to see this engine gain success in the market. A smaller version of this engine could be used on the Martin Jetpack, which is also from New Zealand. Go Kiwis!

Came across this site today, has a number of unusual engine designs, most of which were either manufactured for a limited time or never manufactured at all:

I've also posted a link to the website below from which this page came as there are a number of articles on old electronics and unusual machines:
