There it is, yes something is gained...just not a lot.
Not too much to get excited about then Bob... but I suppose every little helps!

It does however show that there are ways of upping the effciency.

Vickers - that singing bowl number. Does the water get hot? Does it boil or it is just bubbling?

I've got a brass bowl - but I can't get it to resonate at all. I think it's too small or too thin. But it's solid brass.

Hi Vickers. Not sure why the aggro? I'm just curious to find out more. I got the general idea you'd done tests here. I looked at a video where the resonance seemed to be the reason the water started bubbling. Fascinated me. I've tried to do my own tests here but unsuccessful. It seemed you'd managed something. But hey. You're not obliged to answer. And I certainly didn't mean to offend you by my question. But maybe HairBear can answer? I just want to know if the water is 'boiling' or if it's just 'bubblng'.

OK. LOL. I can't accuse you of verbosity Vickers. Admirable economy of words. I'm rolling. Reasonably sure you weren't intending to spread sweetness and light. But I'll do as you say. Indeed.

Ok. I used waterford crystal. Tumbler and long stemmed wine glass. Half filled both with water. NO SOUND AT ALL. They're cut glass. I don't have smooth crystal. Is that the problem? Or must I use a cotton stemmed pestle? Or must I just keep rubbing for much longer?
