  • unable to read all the posts(not showing)

For some reason, the appearance of EnergeticForum has differed for me over quite some time. As an example, the width of the column in one day, may differ the next month. Be that way for a week, and then completely different again a few weeks later.

the 2nd anomaly has been that lengthy long running threads such as the Water Sparkplug ( Water )
, have been showing different (reduced) paged numbers.. eg there may be 65 pages, but after logging in, it might show the last page as 56.

The strange thing is that the above two things continued to occur, even after i disconnected my hard drive where my operating system runs from, and ran a Linux operating system from what is called a Live CD. It pulls what it needs from the CD, and runs it out of RAM ....

I have been hibernating with the Australian winter flows in the past few months, and not been in the forum at all. Yesterday i decided to log in after reading some posts. After i logged in to reply to a thread, i noticed a new anomaly which has not happened before. Several of the sections only show a few threads while logged in. eg, Agriculture shows only 3 or 4 threads while logged in. Where as when i log out, the full list of threads is much longer than 3 or 4. It does not happen with the Renewable Energy section, or the Paths section. All other sections list fewer threads than compared to what is viewable when not logged in. I tried viewing logged in and not logged in, with 3 different browsers.
    1. An IE version 6..
    2. Opera (about a year old)
    3. Firefox. 3.5.2 , which is the latest.

The anomaly occurs with all three browsers.

Any ideas on what to try, or look at ?????

    I am using windows XP.

    thanks

I've noticed that it seems to keep track of threads you have read when you are logged in.

So if you click on the "New Posts" link while logged in it won't show you any posts that have not been updated since you last saw them.

If you are logged out, the option is "Today's Posts" (or something to that effect) and you see all the threads that got updated that day so far.

The way to see everything is to click on the "Energetic Forum" link at the top left.

I hope this helps, I'm not totally sure if that's what you are asking. . .

Thanks for the reply Jessica. I attached a picture of what the screen looks like. I hope that gives a better understanding of what i was trying to explain.

I have been using this forum for a while, yet i have been dyslexic to "New Posts" until you mentioned it. That of course means i have never used New Posts before. After logging in and clicking "New Posts", the page remains white without any text, and the following is in the address bar. http://www.energeticforum.com/search...tnew?do=getnew
I can only access New Posts if i log out.

Since i last posted these anomalies, i have been unable to post at all. I emailed the address which Aaron has included in the Sticky Notes in this section. I received an email reply to say that i should be able to access again, so at least i am able to post now.
However, the reduced number of threads are still occurring in the various sections. That is, it happens regardless of "New Posts", or not.

I tried clearing out the cookies in the browser, and also re starting the browser, but the short lists still happen.

      Any other ideas to try?

      Thanks
