Hello every one!
I am 61 and retired early. I live in the very centre of England - Staffordshire
I have been interested in Radios and Electronics for most of my life , but only in the last two years have I been really building items
I have built three Tesla Coils , an Oudin coil plus the bits and bobs one needs to carry out tests and experiments - See YOU TUBE - Sparkfishes
I am interested in making a Bedini/Newman motor.
I have got a Newman Motor to work with a magnetic switch but they soon arc and weld together - I must sort out some sort of Diode cap system.
What I would like to hear about is any one who has used the magnets from computer hard drives on the rim of a bicycle wheel to make a Bedini motor
I have obtained quite a few hard drive magnets and a superb free running plastic bicycle wheel but,so far I have been unable to get it to rotate by induction
Has any one used these type of magnets successfully in this way?
