Are you being stationed in Anchorage, Fairbanks, or Delta Junction? It gets a bit colder in the Interior than in Anchorage.
Here are a couple of web sites for cold weather gear. Take a long look at your feet! Boots are critical here!
I recommend Northern Outfitter Boots. I have had mine for more than 15 years, and been in temperatures near -100 degrees and never been cold (at least my feet). They are certainly not a fashion statement, but at least you won't get cold!Comment
