  • 911 & the burning of the Koran

burned I believe. Of course even the thought of building a Christian church in some Islamic countries could get you beheaded. And even privately practicing Christianity can be a death sentence.

So while burning a few Korans is obviously not one of this pastors better ideas still it is equally obvious that we have a very serious double standard working here. Freedom of speech is meaningless if you are not allowed to say something that someone else might not like.

    But is there more AE911Truth.org

What I find amusing in all this is the ignorance. It seems these crazy Muslims everyone's so worried about are ignorant of the fact Hindi extremists VERY publicly burned the Quran in 2008. No Indians were beheaded. Nobody called for any holy wars. Nobody's troops were endangered. Life pretty much went on as normal. That was two whole years ago. Not long enough ago to have been "in a world before 9/11" but long enough ago for any backlash that was coming to have happened by now. But it hasn't. No Islamic nation has sent troops to occupy India, either. In fact, it was like the whole thing was a complete non event. It happened, nobody cared. I think there's a lesson in that somewhere but you know what? I've got better things to do than try to work out what it might be, because I'm not buying into any of this hate hype.

Burning books is something idiots and hatemongers do, and lunatics get upset enough about to "react" to. Unless it's the last copy of a book, it's ultimately a pretty futile gesture. Why undertake a futile gesture if it's only purpose is to try incite hatred and cause offense?
I just don't get the mindset. Cave people playing with fire because it still fascinates them maybe, I don't know.

I agree. But if its goal was to keep people diverted from questioning what really happen on 911, then all this book burning is working perfectly.
