Anyone tried a caduceus Primary ?

Woopy has done it:

[Nick_Z]

I tried it on all of my Exciter circuits, and I could not detect much difference, compared to just three turns around the L3. More turns, means less light output, and less input current draw. My goal is to have 100 % brightness from my Cfls. Caduceus coils did not give my any improvement.
Itsu, also tried many different coils including the caduceus type, and also could not detect any improvement on his kacher coils output. Of course if the input voltage is increased so it the output levels.

hi to you all ,, well what can i say this stuff is cool , im abit slow and i only just discovered a joule theith about 2 weeks ago and i couldn't stop playing with them ,, then i found the slayer just finished my first last night (2am ) and it run i,must a been lucky , used slightly different size wire and few less winds started to read this discussion from the start and im only up to page 14 , so i still got a way to go didn't want to miss the learning on the way ,, thanks bart ps link to vid remote for touch lamp slayer exciter early type remotely operating touchlamp - YouTube

hi been playing got a top load on the coil now improved the brightness and distance alot and also wound me a longer coil about 1100 turns and managed to get plasma , small vid on you tube Slayer exciter / Teslacoil ? wireless power transmission - YouTube

That is one fine looking setup
Decent transfer distance too for the remote fluoro.
Btw, your topload made me think of it being mistaken for a service bell lol. Imagine some unwary soul doing just that...they wouldn't do it a second time if the tower was powered up.

[bart77]

thanks ,, yes could be concealed in a service desk that would give me a laugh , I had the larger coil running on 28 volts tonight , to my surprise the tip31 transistor stood up no pop , plasma streamers about 15mm long , and got a small 15w globe lit at about 1.5m in my hand the furthest yet ,, regards bart

[bart77]

loving these sec's run up to 30volts , now able to get some good plasma thanks to all who posted on this thread, took me a while to read it all but iv learnt alot ,, regards bart slayer / tesla coil ? fun with plasma - YouTube

Oscillator

Hello All,

I would like a schematic that would allow me to build an oscillator that could work an air core or ferrite transformer at 3 to 7 MHz and 217 Mhz.

Best regards,

Ged

Anything on Crossover JTs?

I wanna see if I can get up to higher voltages for input with the slayer exciter. Here is a video from a Russian guy who has a 'Healthy Exciter'...100V input!!!

The transistor is K2611. Has anyone tried this one? I'm gonna be trying to get it to work over the next month. Will post results soon.

Yep - She's a beauty!

How can I find 100V input? I mean, what simple thing could I use? Let's push the slayer exciter as far as she can go!

By the way - this bulky MOSFET doesn't even get hot after 5 mins of use @ 30V. Just a little warm - that's all!

[Nick_Z]

Although you've mentioned 30v, and wanting to push it towards 100v input, that does not take into account the wattage drawn. Which is the most important consideration.

I've combined the newest Slayer transistor booster circuit, with the Lasersaber 3.0 circuit, and then connect both their combined outputs of over 1000 volts from both circuits to drive an Exciter coil.
I find that wireless transmition from an Exciter coil is not as efficient as connecting the Exciter coil's output to a 110 or 220v bulb (Cfl), then back to the battery positive. Plus this wired connection can be taken to any part of the house, without losing brightness due to the distance away from the Exciter. And only minimal RF is spewing as a result of this, so, it's causing much less electrical interferance.
I do use an outside earth ground connection, as well.

I assume that this guy is using at least 1A with his 100V, but it could be 3, 4 or 5! Check the vid!

That what interests me about this transistor. The fact that it's possible to get long plasma streamers like that (looks like about 10cm) without blowing the transistor

Hi Nick
so your on to a hybrid lol

Last night, I used a simple jr 1.0 and put in series the 2 coils in a flyback with one side combined with earth ( water pipe)and to a fluoro 10 w then to an led 5 w 220 v ac.
@ 90 ma it can both light the lamps with 370 mA the brightest but the fluoros 60 % only.......
Also tried the flyback with slayer circuit bright at higher amps 400 mA going up

I will try slayers latest circuit to supply the flyback transformer and see where it goes

The first test is significant as it can light fluoros and adjust brightness by increasing the mA input
and connection with the ac output is by the gas in the fluoros end to end

to aan led one wire connected direct to the output of jr transformer

Im trying to combine both fluoros and 220 v ac led lamps as my jr1
prefers only one brand which is a third generation led circuit...
New led lamps with strip cooling aluminum fins tends to flash only
but very bright....
I tried parallel caps and increase to 400 mA and still the same

To increase or boost the output of the joule ringer ??? hope you can make one
