  • Engineer Invents Solution To Drought And Triumph

  • #2
he's using the powder that's commonly found in diapers to add to the soil to hold moisture for long periods of time. It's not a solution for drought, it's a band aide for the effects of drought. He didn't invent it, it's been around since the 70's.

What seems to be missing is the cost for application: $1,500 a hectare, which is more than most crops can make.

You can achieve the same results by adding mulches, compost, and biochar to your soil, and it will be considerably cheaper than a synthetic product.

I put tiles down on the ground to keep the water from evaporating (rocks work as well)
also use straw, wood chips, and charcoal in the soil so it holds more water,
between the 2 methods, the results are just amazing
