Hey nat1971a, I'm just curious, I was wondering if you pull a negative 14.7 psi does that mean that the vacuum containing vessel has about 29.4 psi or two atmospheres of pressure pressing on the outside of the container?

He guys. I'm now able to pop the popping coil with the output from the Grey tube (grids), using no relay. I blew up my relay , found out I didn,t need it anyway.

Radiant Event

I have gotten a radiant event I think. Fixin to video it, film will be dark but it should show up well. You guys wanna see it?

Here it is I think I have filmed a radiant event from the grey tube. The flash is brighter than shown in the video. The piece I am touching to trigger this is supposed to happen in the commutator. Watchit then back it up and watch the tube then the popping coil. Filming Radiant events has made me tired. but I'll Stay up awhile.

Oh yea, I have expanded metal rolled up like a log and about 3/16" gap between grid and electrodes. their gap is only about 1/8". You can not see the arc jumping between electrodes, but it is there. Just watch the tube when this happens.

I can't get your video to download. I've tried twice, and it goes to 1:16 then stops. I've given it over an hour, but that's as far as it gets.

Also, the insulation on those pliers isn't rated for HV. If you try that with an NST it might be Lights Out.

That is the entire video. The flash you see at the end is it. Back the film up after the flash, don't watch my hand with the pliers watch the tube. then back it up and watch the popping coil. The camera does not do justice to actual brightness of what I saw. It happens so damn fast you just can,t see everything unless your lookin at the other objects at the instant it happens.

I'm really not sure what the heck is happening , the plars are so I dont explode like my relay did. Yes, I saw your video and I have to say that yes it is quite different. You can't see any sparking from the tube until it happens then its sorta like the flash of lightening without seeing the long streaking bolt. and nothing is happening where I'm touching the pliers until It gets ready to happen. It seems like the longer the system is run after the first discharge the more frequent it becomes to trigger the next one. That one in the video is just the first event it produced from startup. And It seems that the power of each is kinda random too. Again everything you see is being powered by one small 12V Battery. So I'm probably working on the minimum of having the power to produce it. If I connect the green wire to the trigger bar it won't happen.

Thanks for the screen shot.

It looks like the spark in your Tube is expanded, towards one side, and is touching both the electrodes and the grid. This seems to be conduction, rather than induction.
