AC magnetic field.

I encourage you to be creative.

Take a small magnet and look for things made of stainless steel that you can cut up to make electrode plates.
Where ever you live on this planet, you may run across an old toaster, electrical box cover, or look in a scrapyard
full of all kinds of items made of stainless steel with magnetic properties to use as plates.

Excellent suggestion.

In fact, ordinary steel may be used for the Negative
Plate (Cathode) since the Hydrogen will protect it
from "rusting."

The Positive Plate (Anode) must be able to resist
oxidation so therefore one of the Stainless Steels
or Nickel Plated steel is needed there.

In order to produce the most powerful magnetic field
with the least amount of electrical power do not
forget Resonance. Determine how much capacitance
will be needed to make the Electromagnet resonate
at 60 Hz (or whatever frequency is used) and place
it in parallel to the electromagnet coil.

At resonance the combined coil/capacitor will present
a high impedance to the electrical source but will still
have within the resonant "loop" a very large circulating
current which will produce the needed intense magnetic
field. All while reducing the amount of electrical energy
needed to produce and sustain the magnetic field.

The result is less AC input power is needed to produce the
strong magnetic field.

Tesla used resonance wherever possible.

We may also use resonance where advantageous.

I am not questioning the results but as soon as anybody has a working replication, please run the gas through a see-through bubbler so that we could see the difference in gas production.
It will be a bit more convincing then foam that could be formed by the vibration.

The latest theory is that an "air dryer" is better than a "water bubbler" in removing the water vapor in the HHO/"Brown's Gas".

The idea that since the HHO gas is an "electrically charged" gas, you do not want to "neutralize" the charges by grounding them in water. An air dryer takes out the water vapors in the gas and the "charged gas" then goes on into the engine combustion chamber to "charge" the intake air, then this mixture ignites from the spark plug, that pushes the piston down.

Here is a typical air dryer, with pressure regulator:

I'm gathering supplies to do a replication, I noticed you referred to "Magnetic mending plates" to user Yaro ,as a suggestion for better results [here ]Resonant waterfuelcell project by Steve

I can't find any stainless magnetic mending plates?

The reason I suggested stainless steel mending plates is that someone mentioned
that they weren't able to get their hands on 403, 420, 430 or 431 martensitic steel
(stainless steel with magnetic properties able to be attracted to a magnet).

As a substitute, these will work just fine as electrode plates and can be found in
most home improvement stores, farm supply, or building stores in the section
where they sell brackets and hinges.

They are generally made of 400 series martensitic stainless steel
in various sizes, some as large as 3" x 4".

Bring a small magnet to test for their attraction before you buy them.
